I know this is supposed to be an adaptation from a broadway musical. After watching the movie, I think it really should've just stayed as what it was, a broadway musical. The acting was way exaggerated, facial expressions were too comical, body language was way too much... everything was just... over the top. It might have worked as a broadway musical, but it just doesn't quite fit into a motion picture. Matthew Broderick was annoying as hell, Nathan Lane was just ok, and Uma Thurman....I don't have anything nice to say about her, so I'll just stop right here.
There's one person I loved in the movie though, and it's Will Ferrell. The screen seems to light up everytime he shows up. This guy really knows how to make people laugh~
