"Haod and Moody"

Hal Ashby (Hal Ashby) is also a very personal director in the 1970s in the United States. In his early years, he was a famous Hollywood editor. He also won the Oscar for Best Editing Award for "Best Editing in the Night". Later, he switched to directorship. Because of his unique style of comedy, he was also a good writer in the American film circle in the 1970s.

This time, "Harrod and Proud" was filmed in 1971. It is an early work and a famous CULT in the United States. And it is regarded as a classic by many people.

At the beginning of the movie, the camera always controlled not to shoot the actor's head, but only moved with the actor's movement. Through the actor's movements, we can understand that this is a very educated person. The lens rules, symmetry, and even some rigidity, should also highlight the dullness and conservativeness of this family. As well as some relatively rigid education the children received, this will be of great help to the audience to understand the characters’ personality.

However, as a CULT film, the movie must not be so ordinary. The young Harold hangs on his mother’s face, foaming at his mouth, while his mother remains indifferent and continues to work on her own affairs. After that, every day Harold would use this method to commit suicide, often with blood all over his body, but it would not attract his mother's attention in the least.

Harold needs to be rescued. He has an extraordinary fascination with death. In addition to committing suicide by various methods every day, he also likes to attend funerals very much. His mother also tried to treat him through some methods, but neither the psychologist, the priest, nor his uncle who was an officer could change him. Finally, he met the old lady Maude, who is about to be 80 years old, but the old man’s mentality is not very old. She would steal cars, drag racing with the police, more crazy, but more like Biha. Lord is still young.

Harrod used various pranks to scare away the girl who came to the blind date. In the end, he and the old lady fell in love, even though they were 60 years old. The old man chose to commit suicide, and Harrod finally found the meaning of life.

It is a very engaging movie, many spoof passages, plus the best old and young love, you can still watch it. However, the image is darker and hazy, and the lens is slightly rigid. Maybe some people don't like it
