be sincere to each other! Because although the world is
unfolding in front of us like a dream country,
so colorful, beautiful and fresh, in
fact there is no joy, no love and light,
no certainty, no peace, no relief for pain;
we are like living in a wilderness shrouded in darkness. ,
Struggle and flight are intertwined into chaos and horror, and
ignorant armies clash with each other in the dark.
——Excerpt from "Fahrenheit 451" (Chongqing Publishing House).
This poem that also appears in the movie is actually a footnote to the whole play. Basically clarified the content of the story.
Frankly speaking, novels are much better than movies. After all, people's minds can be wild, but film technology can't be fooled by others. So after watching this movie, I feel depressed.
First of all, Chuffer changed the little girl Clarice who had just turned 17 to 20 years old. This makes the play more conflicting-the actresses are all alone, but Clarice’s personality with girlish syndrome is completely complete. Changed and became a strong "anti-terrorist fighter". Her original whimsy became a prophetic enlightenment teacher (she was really an elementary school teacher in the play, the kind who was expelled), which is a level below the original book...
Secondly, technology limits the expression of thoughts . The main dissatisfaction is that in the last climax part of the book, Montego runs thrillingly and hangs by a thread, which becomes an understatement in the film. It’s too easy for the actor to find BOOK PEOPLE. The director is teasing us. Especially the huge and agile robotic hounds from the intent of "Baskerville Hounds" did not appear-I cried~~~
Again, the desperate love was downplayed. At the end of the book, Montag suddenly remembered the place where he and his wife first met when the city was destroyed. In fact, it was the protagonist who found his heart. In the film, he is separated from his wife, but it is not bad anyway. There is an identical Clarice beside him. And his wife was amazingly packed with a book in the suitcase she ran away-it was unbelievable, she was afraid or not.
Finally, and most importantly. In fact, what the director said is not the same as what the original author said. But adaptation, whatever the director likes. In any case, the scholars walking in the vast white snow gave the film a great sublimation, which is really touching.
