"Catch the Murder" Don't Kidnap the Children of American Parents

Mother Joe’s song is very nice. Whatever Will Be, Will Be.

I always feel familiar with the movie "Catch the Murder", especially at the climax of the end of the story.

Later, I finally found the answer. It turned out that this movie is very similar to "Thirty-Nine Steps". Anyway, the director is Hitchcock. Is it a tribute (copy) to steal it?

Closer to home, "Catch the Murder" is still a typical Hitchcock suspense movie, in which ordinary people are accidentally involved in the spy struggle, and finally hit the story of political conspiracy.

The protagonist of the story happened when the husband Ben and his wife Joe took their child Hank to play in North Africa and Morocco. During the trip, Hank accidentally tore off the veil of a Muslim woman, got into trouble, and was then relieved by the mysterious figure Louis. And because of this they met.

Originally, Louis invited the family to dinner that night, but they released their pigeons. The family of three deserves to go to the restaurant to eat alone. During the meal, they met a couple from London and they met to go out tomorrow.

The next day, a group of five people were happily watching the bazaar, when suddenly someone fell in front of the class with a knife in his back. It turned out that the deceased was Louis. Before he died, he told Ben a name and confessed that he was a spy and was preventing a terrorist activity.

Later, Ben was taken to the police station for questioning, and his son Hank was taken back to the hotel by the London couple to take care of him. Just then Ben received a call and told him not to disclose any information to the police, otherwise he would kill Hank.

The couple never thought that the London couple were also spies, and they had disappeared from Morocco, and they had to go to London for their children.

According to the intelligence, Joe and Ban searched for the address of the spy. Although they found out, they missed the opportunity because of the slow police action. Ban was knocked out at this time, and Joe had to follow the spy to the music hall.

In the concert hall, the British Prime Minister was immersed in the music and did not notice the danger, and a black barrel had long been aimed at him in the darkness not far away.

And all of this was seen by his wife Joe. At the critical moment, her scream disturbed the assassin. He missed the shot, and the prime minister only injured his arm. Later, the class came to try to subdue the murderer, but unexpectedly, the murderer accidentally fell off the stands and died on the floor of the concert hall.

This bridge section is exactly the same as "Thirty-Nine Steps". Although it is not the bridge section, it is not new, but under the effect of the "last-minute rescue", it still makes people feel a strong sense of tension.

Then of course it was looking for his son Hank, and of course everything was not a problem. At this time, the villain boss said: Why provoke the children of American parents? You deserved your assassination failure! Well, this one is a bit straightforward, haha.

In short, this two-hour movie is too slow today, and the storyline is relatively thin.

It's a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's color era, but it's not his best work. The thrilling story that takes place in an exotic environment is not much exciting in itself, only some small details are well designed. Like at the critical moment of the assassination operation, using the burst of music as the assassination signal to cover up the gunfire is a rare and wonderful idea in the film. However, Hitchcock's use of some "idle brushes" in the film seems a bit too loose, and in the paragraphs of the Arabian restaurant in the film, the exoticism of the Arabian meal is described in great detail, and it is inevitable that one will lose sight of the other.
