Discuss with colleagues at noon, a colleague said: after he watched this movie, it just hit him: Star Wars movies were not story about Luke, but story of Anakin Skywalker. He was the chosen one, the one brought balance to the force. To say the least, Star Wars III has made the other five Star Wars movies better.

BTW, the chemistry between Anakin and Padme was totally ran out from previous two prequels (I thought the relationship between the young Anakin and Padme in “Phantom Menace” was charming). As Roger Ebert puts it: To say that George Lucas cannot write a love scene is an understatement; greeting cards have expressed more passion. ;o)

Despite the acting, I thought Anakin's struggle/journey to the dark side was personal, moving and believable.

In the name of love, Skywalker turned into dark side; but is that real? Or just an excuse? I was moved by his journey, the steps, incidents occurred along the way, it was like LOTR, each person, weak or strong, had to decide, facing their moments, where history leads to; the fate of the world was casted by an individuals will. Here, if things happened a little bit differently, eg more recognition from Jedi council side, Skywalker might be able to resist the temptation. But, he didn't. In the name of love, he was more furious being cheated, he strangled Padme, the woman he vowed to save from death, but, in reality, he was the reason she had no will to live on. She died of a broken heart.

Ironic as it was. Even more ironic is the concept of being Jedi.

Being a Jedi requires detachment from fear for lost, from lust, from love and passion. Is that where greatness comes from? But was that a wrong concept? Because of love, Anakin SKywalker turned to the dark side; but, he was redeemed at the end of story. The world was not saved by a Jedi, but by a human who suffered greatly, and also loved deeply.

Blackening is too unconvincing, Hayden's acting skills are still so scumbag, Lucas' lines are still what the hell, but the plot feels much better because a series of foreshadowings are finally connected, and finally the decline of the Jedi is so sentimental. [I found out that I have not yet praised the beauty of Ivan in the prequel, Ivan marry me [

Probably the best prequel, just waiting for the black lord to put on the mask

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith quotes

  • Obi-Wan Kenobi: [referring to Anakin] I'm looking for Anakin. When was the last time you saw him?

    Padmé: Yesterday.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Do you know where he is now?

Padmé: [clearly lying] No. He wouldn't tell me.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Padmé, I need your help. He is in grave danger.

    Padmé: From the Sith?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: From himself. Padmé, Anakin has turned to the dark side.

Padmé: You're wrong. How could you even say that?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I have seen... a security hologram... of him... killing younglings.

    Padmé: Not Anakin. He couldn't.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Palpatine is the Sith lord we've been looking for. After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice.

Padmé: [turns away in shock; sits down on the couch] I don't believe you. I can't.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [sits down on the couch] Padmé, I must find him.

Padmé: [turns to Obi-Wan] You're going to kill him, aren't you?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: He has become a very great threat.

Padmé: [turns away and shakes her head] I can't.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [gets off of the couch, walking towards his ship] Anakin is the father, isn't he?

[Padmé doesn't know what to say]

    Obi-Wan Kenobi: I'm so sorry.

  • Obi-Wan: [crashing towards the hangar] Oh, I have a bad feeling about this.
