I love life, love deeper than the sea

I just finished watching this movie by Hirokazu Kore-eda. The movie talks about very simple life clips, but it contains a lot of life truths. The main line seems simple but is actually very messy and has no clue. But think about it carefully, life is like this, life is multi-dimensional and three-dimensional, not a logically rigorous mathematical problem. The male protagonist is unhappy, touches money at his mother's house, loves to gamble, and peeks into the new life of his ex-wife and son, which is really scumbag. The story is simple, but the shooting is full of details. For example, the female client who was secretly photographed said: How did my life become like this? How heartbreaking this sentence is. When I saw this, I remembered that in April 2020, my cousin came back from Dubai. We had a long afternoon talk after not seeing each other for many years. She said, I'm going to the bathroom, I said, go, look at her back, I said, don't live like me. She turned her head in surprise, wondering if this is something my "other's family" sister, who was number one since she was a child, can say, but she looked at the faint tears in my eyes, smiled and nodded and said: I know ! For another example, when the family cooks together, Shingo is seriously slicing something, a lot of potatoes are diced, these shots are very slow and very Hirokazu-eda. But this kind of atmosphere can make the audience cry silently. I have always longed for such a family atmosphere. The husband and wife cook together, and finally show the dishes made by the family, and then ask me to wash the dishes because they feel sorry for each other. When will such a life of mutual love and concern come? I tell myself, life will always get better, but it always has a process, we have to give it time, right?

The typhoon broke a lot of umbrellas, the director gave a long shot, but the typhoon has passed, life will continue, let us continue to love life, don't let the past deprive us of the courage to continue a happy life, that's not worth it .

Shiraishi Kyôko: What is it, then?

Shinoda Ryôta: It's a dream. A dream you buy for 300 Yen.

  • Shinoda Ryôta: I'm not... who I want to be yet. But, you know, it doesnt matter whether I've become what I wanted. What matters is to live my life trying to become what I want to be.
