"Delusional Agent"

I've been wanting to watch it for a long time, but as one of Jin Min's limited works in the world, I always feel that I need to watch it sparingly. I finally watched it today on the first day of the new year. This New Year is completely unmotivated, I don't have any serious New Year's resolutions, and I don't want to be as motivated as last year to try everything. I was really disturbed by that bastard... On the first day of the new year, I had absolutely no plans, no snacks or anything, and I didn't plan to go out, so I decided to spend the day in the make-up. So I feel that this rare work is worthy of the important day of the first day of the new year. Even if there is no sense of ritual in other things, there are still barrages closed for every episode. The picture quality of station B is actually not very good, especially the OP designed it like that, but I basically got used to it after seeing it.

It's a pity that I didn't understand it... (Speaking of which, is it related to the fact that I don't understand it in my emotional experience? It's really annoying.) Which part is reality and which part is Delusional projection? How does delusion come to reality? Or is this not important at all? What do you want to explain? In the end, I neither agree nor empathize with what the detective's wife said. I'm probably someone who can't catch a way to escape from the fantasy, right? I still don't want to leave... In the end, there is no baseball boy, isn't everyone back to the original nightmare? I always feel that ED is an illusory but beautiful result that everyone has achieved in their dreams. (After all, I still think Brave New World should be considered a utopia rather than a dystopia.)

Specifically to spit out some small grooves: The beginning is still like Jin Min's other works, starting from all living beings. Always start with others from the background, and gradually focus on the protagonist. It's funny how the end credits end this time as well. It's like the camera came from the crowd, recorded the story, and went back to the crowd, which was very interesting. But this way it should make it feel like the story is over, right? At the end of the film, there is a "dream notice" that serves as a preview of the next issue, which is used like a horror movie to show that the story is not over, "as long as there are human beings, this kind of story will exist forever" similar to this feeling.

The other is the title, and the titles of each episode are interesting. The words "Delusional Agent" in the OP are not well segmented, and so is the title of each episode, which is often made up from other words. And there are a few English abbreviations of the title that I simply don't understand what they mean...

In fact, just like Jin Min himself said that this is a collection of brain hole stories. I actually thought it was a "delusional agent" like "Party A and Party B", telling the story of such a strange company, each episode is a bit independent and a bit similar, and the conventional TV animation routine of solving a big case in the end. Then I found out that it's not at all... This is Jin Min, how could I think of such a normal thing. The first half is still about investigating the case, and the second half is a collection of more and more brain-hole stories. There is a feeling that there is no outline for the latter part from the beginning. Starting from "Clear Family Plan", "ETC" is basically a short story to write and play, "Sleeping Malomei" is a bit like the travel article in "I'm a Magical Girl", is it true that the animation industry always has The skylight is about to open, let's pick an episode and write about ourselves, shall we? (Actually, I almost watched "White Box" today.) It's time for the uncolored parts to appear at the beginning. If I didn't give a reasonable explanation at the end, I almost thought I gave up like "Gintama". . This state of casual brainstorming continued until the last two episodes before returning to the main line. And the two episodes that return to the main line are also special Jin Min, I can't say what the definition of "special Jin Min" is, but I guess people who see it can understand. Naturally, it includes this straightforward intersection of illusion and reality, going from one side to the other and walking back easily, this kind of girl and uncle, this kind of dream... but it doesn't stop there.

But maybe because I did read a novel about witch hunting a while ago (last year, lol). This is a situation where the illusion of one person becomes the reality of all people through the common weakness of human beings, causing a huge real impact that can be called a disaster. Pretty in Salem. In the interview, Jin Min said that the origin was a feeling similar to psychosomatic disease (he didn't use the word), and he was indeed Jin Min who made "Red Pepper". I have always felt that Jin Min actually knows more about psychology than the original "Red Pepper" from psychology. There are also those inexplicable words. I think the dream words in "Red Hot Chili Pepper" are particularly good. Here are the words written by the old man on the ground and the words in the "Dream Report". But the words in "Red Hot Chili Pepper" are sleep talk, but it is difficult to pursue logic in chaos. (I didn't understand because I wasn't involved?)

Now that we have talked about "Sleeping Malomei", the changes in the style of painting in this animation are also more arbitrary, but they are not really arbitrary like "Gintama". The "freedom" mentioned here is just a lot of changes. In fact, there is a reasonable explanation, it is better to do it this way, rather than doing it arbitrarily. There are actually quite a lot of animations with changing styles, many of which are regarded as masterpieces. In "Gintama", it simply admits that there is one kind of animation that we can't finish. In fact, there are also many changes in "Cat Monster". I think it is the most powerful. It's still "Sky Swing". However, "Aerial Swing" is mainly a conversion between live action (3D) and animation (2D), and the later episodes of "Funny Cat" and "Delusional Agent" (where the atmosphere suddenly shows up) seems to be exploring 2D in 2D. In fact, the transition in "Fu Mourning God for Rent", which has not received much attention, is a bit similar. If other aspects can be done a little bit (mainly about the plot, as far as history is concerned, people like me don't know anything about it.) It's quite helpful. Later, I went to see the exhibition in Tokyo in the Edo period. Thanks to the supplement, I can know a lot of things.) This transition should also be praised.

Ah music, I'm used to listening to Toshin Kon's music, and this time it's a clear Japanese animation, so it shouldn't be surprising. (Actually, compared to the movie, I feel a lot quieter, is it because the expectations are different?) But it is still unusual. The usual place is to inherit the classic law that the opening song should burn and the ending song should be cured more than 20 years ago. The ending often reminds me of "Grey Feather Alliance". What's unusual is the opening song don't you think of "The Lion King"...? I still have a lot of specific BGM in it, even if I look at the title, I can't remember where it is. (But I don't dislike the "Lion King"-like vocals.)

Those who have watched film and television related majors also like the complaints written by Jin Min's friends very much. I didn't cry after watching the whole story, is it because I didn't watch it in time? I was still immersed in the hallucinations brought by Malomei and just refused to wake up. I was like this throughout the second half of last year. People I like pursued independence, and I was even more reluctant to be independent. Although it is said that I will try to get rid of that person this year, I still want to sleep more in Malomei's dream. I still insist that movies are the art of making dreams, and the reason why I go to this fictional world is not because I want to face reality, but precisely because I don’t want to face reality. Maybe this is why this work is particularly meaningful, but because of this, I can't accept it yet.
