A Russian war movie "The Hunt for T-34" was released recently. Maybe you haven't seen many Russian movies, but this is definitely worthy of being an introductory movie. The brutality of war and the bloody nature of soldiers are all vividly displayed in this film. At first, when I watched the movie, I thought that there might be a deviation due to the Chinese dubbing, but after watching it, I felt that the image of the brave and decisive soldier was not discounted at all. In addition, this film only has Chinese dubbing for the Soviet army.
The film is based on a true World War II story. During the defense of Moscow, Nikolai, who had just graduated from the tank school, was sent to the battlefield to protect the village. Facing the only remaining tank, with the tacit cooperation with his comrades, he drove the legendary tank T-34 with one enemy and six, miraculously destroyed the tank team of Colonel Jaeger of the German army, but he was captured. Three years later, at the end of World War II, in order to quickly train German tank recruits, Yeager forced Nikolai and several other Soviet prisoners in the concentration camp to drive a refurbished T-34 as a training target. Faced with this unwinnable confrontation, Nikolai had an amazing plan in his mind - to drive this T-34 to escape the concentration camp during training.
The plot of the movie is smooth and not procrastinated, without too much foreshadowing and narration, and it quickly cuts into the confrontation and head-to-head between tanks. But no foreshadowing does not mean reckless action. Nikolai maintained a calm mind from beginning to end, and dealt with powerful enemies calmly. When facing an enemy with an absolute advantage in numbers, good tactical literacy and tacit execution of comrades-in-arms are more important. Of course, whether it is the opening or the battle of the concentration camp, it is inseparable from the preparations for the previous battle. The T-34 tank is like a war horse. Before the expedition, the tank soldiers wiped clean, prepared food, grass and saddles, and waited for the battle to come.
It was a doomed confrontation, but it was overturned by the resolute and brave Soviet army. As the driver of the tank said: If you need a miracle, then I will give you a miracle. They did exactly that, smashing the enemy's stomach hard, and walking away from the main gate of the training camp under the eyes of the Germans. But the battle for freedom had just begun, and the Germans launched tanks to pursue them. The alley siege during the pursuit, the chariot blocking the road, and the ultimate showdown on the bridge are all impressive. I have to say that the intense background music adds a lot of color to the battle. With the slow motion during the shelling, the fierce confrontation between the tanks on both sides has more visual impact, making it more real and intense.
But as the ending song says, the real war has no soundtrack and no camera shots, just a more brutal fighting environment and confrontation than the movie. Salute to every famous and unknown warrior, you are the one who propped up today's peace with your flesh and blood. Cherish the hard-won good life and pay tribute to all the heroes who have paid in war!
