Little Japan is a people who like to work

This film reminds me of the new "The Undertaker". Little Japan is a nation who likes to work, and it is easy to achieve what Maslow called "self-realization" at work, reflecting self and life value.
I don't know this movie reminds me of Somerset Maugham's "The Moon and Sixpence". The artist's wife and friends couldn't figure it out. The artist left his wife and ran away with a good life, not for other women, but for painting. . However, the male protagonist of this film did not run far, which is still good (or not?).

The whole film is stable, but Japanese films are considered to be declining in this era, and I always feel that the taste of the old generation of masters and the innovative spirit of the new wave generation are missing. A film that talks about the pursuit of art seems to be insufficient in pursuit of art, which may be a pity.
