When we give up thinking, we give up being "human"

I came into contact with this film by listening to Mr. Dai Jinhua's class. I have systematically listened to Mr. Dai Jinhua's talk about history and memory, those histories that cannot be "reappeared", and that "all history is contemporary history"... There are many ideas that I understand but cannot understand.

I can't reach the height of Mr. Dai's thinking, so I just sort out the development of my own entry point here.

First, I saw the "rabble crowd" and remembered what Le Pen wrote in the book, "The crowd does not desire truth, and whoever breaks their illusions is their enemy." I have to say that the author is speaking from the standpoint of a bystander. Only outside the "rabble crowd", outside events, and outside history, can such a near- A description of the judgment. That is, people in the film criticize Hannah: "arrogant, cold". I don't have the ability to judge this way of observation and thinking, so I won't say much here.

Second, I saw Hannah's insistence on truth. I admire this very much. Even if I am criticized by thousands of people, I still insist on making my own voice. History needs a bystander who can see the big picture, and Hannah played that role, and she accomplished her mission. I want to be someone like Hannah, independent, calm, strong, in the crowd, but also able to maintain herself in the flood.

Third, I saw the reaction of the people after the article was published. People do not exist for the truth, but strangely, everyone believes that they are defending the truth. There is nothing more than an ancient Greek philosopher who said: "People always do good." Of course, the "good" here is more inclined to "benefit", which is roughly equivalent to "people always choose what is beneficial to themselves." This world is colorful, people revel in the pain of others, we consume conflict, consume other people's misfortune, consume the spectacle of war, absurd and beautiful. Again, don't judge. This is just a family's words, some of the phenomena I have seen.

Regarding the art of film itself, I am not very skilled, and I do not dare to make judgments, but I just feel that the role of Hannah Arendt is very successful, at least, it is the appearance of the female philosopher and thinker in my heart, Also what I want to be. There should be a second brush, carefully pondering the director's lens language.

The above is a superficial sorting out based on my superficial knowledge. I don't know if my views are appropriate, and I don't know if I can express my thoughts clearly. Improper advice is welcome.
