good light comedy

Face is extremely important to the Chinese. majesty. It's funny to see the title of the movie. We often lose sight of one another for the sake of face. Putting on a condescending expression, facing the people and things around him is not calm and real enough. So many opportunities to get close to each other will be lost.

I don't usually watch many comedies, but I always feel that funny films like Stephen Chow are vulgar and mentally retarded. But "Saving fave" is an exception. This light comedy film makes people think while laughing, and tears when touched.

The film tells the story of a family of three generations in the Chinese community in New York. Pregnancy out of wedlock. gay. Family conflict...is a point of contention. The mother was single and brought up her daughter, but she became pregnant in the age of confusion. The daughter's career success is acceptable, but she is gay. These seemingly ordinary little things in American society, in the eyes of the Chinese people, they are scandalous.

At the opening community dance, Xiaowei and Vivian made eye contact. ambiguous. warmth. I like Yang Yahui (Michelle Krusiec) very much. This Taiwanese-born and American-raised abc played Xiaowei vividly.

She is wise. Introverted. Forbearance. A longing for a lover. Every day I was torn between my mother and vivian and was exhausted. Very conflicted and hesitant.

There is one scene in the film that is very touching.

Xiaowei and Vivian went home after breaking up and wanted to tell her mother the truth. The two sat on the sofa watching a soap opera. Light and shadow hit the face with flickering traces. Xiaowei said with tears in her eyes, "Mom, I have two things to say."

Her mother was eating potato chips, as if she was watching TV intently and ignoring the conversation.

"The first thing, I love you very much."

"The second thing... I'm actually gay." The

mother responded indifferently: "How can you say two things at once."

As a mother, you never want to see your children have deformed love. No matter how huge and real this love is. It is also a passing void. But you have to face and accept the reality. At this point, a veteran actor like Chen Chong can handle it with ease.

The director is very smart. Know how to stop abruptly at the critical moment of tears. Audiences don't have to be mired in grief. There's also just the right amount of humor. Makes the whole movie easy in serious discussions.
