So I tried hard to find it, and it really is a good thing. I really like it. Director Alice Wu has a unique vision. This story is like the gentle life of an animal who basks in the sun with you in the afternoon, warm and comfortable.
Some people think that the storyline is thin, but I like it is light, not heavy, and not preaching. The conflicts and contradictions of the three generations are sharp and sharp, but they are not fatally sharp. Even if the cultural and geographical backgrounds are slightly different, they are still in line with small families in the big city of China. The old-fashioned grandfather of the elder, the mother-daughter love contained in the two blind dates between Mom and Will, all made people smile.
The actors are also lovable, and their acting skills are more surprising than their pretty pictures. Needless to say, Chen Chong was an old showman. Michelle Krusiec and Lynn Chen let people see the hope of Chinese Americans in the American entertainment industry. It is not Liu Yuling's killing, or Zhang Si's so-called oriental style, and there is no beautiful makeup, but they are shining shining there to attract attention.
So, so like.
Wishful thinking waiting for Alice to promote it, wishful thinking waiting for the movie theater with pockets, wishful thinking on the disc rack, waiting for the genuine version.
