This movie just has a lot of problems. The plot is too rushed (in the first half hour, I had a very strong feeling that it was Naoko's birthday without saying anything), the image of the actors and the imagination of Murakami fans may be a little different (the male pig's feet are too handsome, Naoko is too ordinary , Midori is too quiet), there are some small changes in the story.
But this movie still fascinates me.
As a big fan of Murakami, of course I am very curious about how his novels can be made. It may not be the best look, but it makes me happy anyway. From the point of view of the average moviegoer, I think there's a lot to like about this movie as well. The picture is very beautiful (Ameiliao is so handsome!), the music is very good (it feels like Murakami's novel), it is very literary (although some people criticize it as literary and artistic, but I still like it), the overall feeling is still very good Murakami (I really like the Murakami-style dialogue in it, this is the joy of reading novels that can't be experienced at all), and of course there are many hot scenes in 18 Ban. As a fan, I also certainly don't miss the point of the story and some interesting details not included in the movie because of the rough storyline - although someone who went straight to the movie without reading the novel would obviously be left with something.
The movie is less than the novel, but I don't think it's too pale.
I like the role of Midori very much, a very moving actor, and interesting enough. Although I think she should be more lively.
