Second time line

The second paragraph of the story has added two interludes, and here is where many people do not understand.

At the beginning of the second paragraph, Alexander left London, Ann continued to work in London, and received a call from the doctor telling her that she was pregnant, which corresponds to the paragraph on the taxi.

In the 39th to 48th minutes, Alexander and Ann were inserted before leaving London.

In the 49th minute, the photo that Ann looked at was the photo of the little girl after being shot by his brother, so it went back to the normal time line. At this time, Alexander was dead. Ann received a call from Alexander's nephew begging for his uncle. Ann realized that something was wrong.

In the 49th minute, there is a scene in which Alexander leaves the taxi. This scene is also inserted from the timeline. The previous scene of this scene is the phrase "time doesn't stop" on the wall.

50 minutes back to normal timeline.

When I was an intern in Beijing in 2007, I was taken by a graduate student of the directing department to the back door of Beijing Film Studio to buy an ultimatum. At that time, he just gave it to me; I was moved by his persistence at first, and then it was the film itself; The feeling is here.

[Screening at Shanghai Film Festival] Three interrelated tragic stories with cause and effect form a closed loop. Every story is accompanied by place, nation, misunderstanding, conflict and death. Three lives were lost due to unbelievably unprovoked violence. Kindness can never resist the ravages of violence. It makes people feel sad. After repeatedly thinking about the time logic of the narrative, I was finally relieved. Time does not pass, the circle is not round. The world is impermanent, and peace is hard to find.

Before the Rain quotes

  • Father Marko: Time never dies. The circle is never round.

  • Father Marko: I wanted to take a vow of silence, like you. But this heavenly beauty merits words.
