I want to eat your pancreas: when we finally recognize ourselves

Last summer, the Moments were screened by a movie, and the title almost persuaded me to quit. It was called "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas". The first thought in my mind was the theatrical version of Tokyo Ghoul.

After the film was shown, it received mixed reviews. Some time ago, a reader shared the film in the backstage of my official account. After watching this film, I always wanted to write a story for her. An article that can feel the charm of the movie.

But writing it over and over has always felt far-fetched.

So I simply followed the trend, let us look at the following film objectively.

one

The theme of the movie is very simple. A seriously ill girl meets a lonely boy by chance, and then by chance, the two get to know each other's true fears in depth through constant getting along with each other. Individuals complete their own changes in their relationship with each other.

This kind of plot is very classic, or it is old-fashioned, a typical Japanese traditional plot, a plot like this, people who have watched "Your Lie in April" will almost exclaim. At the same time, the theme of the film is also the same as that of traditional Japanese healing. Under the tragic fate of the past, with the goodwill of the protagonist and others, they redeem each other and save each other, giving people a sense of healing with tears in their eyes.

However, after watching this movie carefully, I found that what the director wants to tell us means more to us than what is on the surface.

In the movie, what makes people novel is the funeral of the heroine from the beginning, and the subsequent plot uses a pseudo-straightforward method. After we already know the ending, we no longer have the mentality of expecting and miracles at the end of the movie. Then, he turned his head and focused on feeling the feelings between the male and female protagonists, and became a good listener to listen to a story.

The second method is that the director did not tell us the name of the male protagonist from the first half of the movie to the end. Even on the train, the name that had been said was covered up by the sound of the Shinkansen passing through the tunnel, and only the lips could be seen moving, and the name of the male protagonist was only known to the female protagonist.

The design of this plot is related to the names of the male protagonist and the female protagonist. The female protagonist's name is Sakura Yamauchi, and the male protagonist's name is Shiga Haruki. The cherry blossoms bloom because of spring, and spring also comes with cherry blossoms.

So the heroine said in the movie: "It seems that I came to this world just because I met you."

A person finds the meaning of his existence because of another person, this is the most beautiful feeling in the world.

The last unexpected arrangement of the movie is undoubtedly the sudden death of Yingliang at the end. Although there was news in the first half of the movie that "another female college student was killed" and laid the groundwork, it was this clumsy foreshadowing. Let the audience feel that the plot should not develop so naively, or that the foreshadowing has other arrangements, but the director is like this, simple and rude, and cannot make people accept Ying Liang's accident.

Many people say this is a failure of the film, and some people say it is the director's realistic style.

And when I reached this plot in the progress bar, I felt in my heart: emptiness, or a kind of loneliness of losing something. However, when I saw Ying Liang's notebook, I realized that the previous emptiness, the feeling of falling as if about to climb out of the abyss but slipped, were all preparing for this notebook to appear in front of us.

I kind of understand the reason for the director's sudden accident arrangement earlier. Only such a sense of loss can drive us, instinctively and eagerly, to find one in the movie that can soothe our suddenly at a loss.

So in such a mood, we opened Ying Liang's notes and saw a real Ying Liang.

2. "In your own notes, there is no need to lie"

In Ying Liang's notes, she recorded her fear, acceptance, loss, sadness since her illness, and when she met the male protagonist Haruki, she was happy, relieved, and happy, so that she finally accepted her short life calmly. Life. Maybe if it wasn't for this notebook, we would never know a real Sakurayo, she is not a warrior who ignores the pain, nor an optimistic and cheerful girl in the face of adversity, she is just herself, Sakurayama Yamauchi, and finally she finally let go of her The lively and optimistic she who pretended to be in front of others before, accepted the real Yamauchi Sakura in her heart.

All this redemption comes from the male protagonist's true acceptance of the female protagonist. When he hears that she is sick, there is no trouble, and like an old friend, he asks jokingly.

"You live so short, don't you have anything to do?"

Being able to have a lunch on the train like a normal friend. He will also lose his temper at Yingliang when Yingliang makes a joke to him. In Haruki, what attracts Yingliang is not Haruki's looks and talent, but his illness and misfortune that she is different from others. Haruki's eyes without any strangeness and discrimination seem to be just She treats her as an ordinary friend who can play with her.

At the end, when Haruki said to Yingliang, "I'm worried about you." Yingliang finally knew that in this world, even people who have no blood relationship with her are not friends. , even strangers who don't even know their names will worry about her.

At this moment, Haruki's worries were not due to Yingliang's mother's concern for her daughter, nor the concern of her friends growing up, nor the sympathy and compassion for the seriously ill patients.

Just because she is Yamauchi Sakura, she is only worried about that girl named Yamauchi Sakura.

This kind of feeling is like love, but it is definitely not love, because what the director wants to express to us is a kind of feeling that is not mixed with any other feelings, whether it is the fetters of family affection, or the relationship before belonging to friends, or the common people's feelings for Empathy for the unfortunate. It's just two simple people who are not familiar with each other and have nothing to do with each other, just because they accidentally saw each other's true selves. This kind of contact between two people's hearts and hearts produces the cleanest feelings in the world.

I think Ying Liang, who wrote this diary, must not be afraid, but calm, even when the gangster's knife stabbed him in the chest.

However, what this movie has to say is that the director's design of the scene and the skills of the copywriting are not enough for the movie to fully impress the audience with this kind of emotion, but only through the movie's over and over again. Interpretation can literally dig out the final core. This is also "Pancreas", why is it always hotly debated but has a mediocre reputation.

As for the change of the male protagonist, it is also extremely abrupt in the movie, which makes people feel that he has completely changed before and after reading the notes, from completely refusing to communicate with others to daring to show his heart Touching other people's changes, fading out only from a few very subtle and monotonous details, such as being willing to accept other people's chewing gum, and taking the initiative to find the female lead's best friend, inexplicably being a friend, directly representing the whole of the male lead Change, the psychological unnaturalness brought about by this, makes us completely unable to lift the feeling of tears in our eyes for this touching story about the redemption between the two people.

However, in the end, the director still said what he wanted to say in a movie, and I remembered a movie I once saw.

"untouchable"

It tells the story of a disabled white rich man and another black young man, two people meet by chance, under the heavy barriers of each other's identity, wealth, status, body, and race, two people who may have nothing in common for life , but under the communication between each other's hearts, they really accepted each other.

Perhaps, the estrangement between people exists between people, because of gender, because of identity, because of status, because of wealth, because of appearance, because of blood, because of countless things that can be compared, and let each other In between, layers of thick walls were buried, and we only found out when we put aside all discrimination and truly touched each other's hearts.

Everyone deserves to know

Only when there are differences, we can still accept each other, and changes in people will happen quietly.

If you have a favorite movie, please reply in the background and leave the movie name, I will write an article with enough attention
