It is said that teachers are the soul engineers of human beings, and there are many similar movies that show good teachers saving so-called bad students, such as "Spring in the Cattle Class" and "Dead Poets Society". But even if there are excellent works of pearl and jade before, this movie still has its unique brilliance.
The first is the distinctive Indian characteristics. It is no longer the traditional form of singing and dancing. Instead, it chooses to retain the Indian characteristics and combine RAP, which sounds trendy and full of rhythm. Secondly, behind the refreshing plot of the counterattack is the large gap between the rich and the poor in India, class prejudice and the education imbalance that it brings. Finally, the warm and beautiful central theme is also a bonus for viewers who like happy endings.
The reason why Teacher Naina was able to tame this group of wild horse-like students of Class F, I think there are probably the following reasons.
First, she never held prejudice against them because they were class F - poor students and troublemakers in the eyes of other teachers. Perhaps it was because I had been ridiculed and looked down upon because of Tourette syndrome, and I understood the harm caused by prejudice. Do unto others, do not impose on others. Therefore, she treats these thorny teenagers equally, and is not angry because of their taunts. When they were at risk of being expelled when they pranked the school's windows by blowing up the windows, she was the one who stood up for them despite her previous suspicions and begged the principal to give them another chance. And this is the beginning of Class F's acceptance of Naina.
When the F class students expressed dissatisfaction with the A class students who got the prefect badge, she encouraged them, as long as they worked hard, the F class could also get the prefect badge. She even went to the headmaster to ask for an opportunity for them. As long as they got good grades, any student could get a prefect badge. And she believes her students can. Students can naturally feel the trust and expectations of their teachers, so they gradually recognize the reality and study hard.
Second, no matter what difficulties and obstacles she encountered, she still adhered to the ideal of teaching and educating people in her heart. For five years, she insisted on going to the school to apply for jobs, and even if she was rejected because of Tourette's syndrome, she still retained her dignity and decency. She finally got a chance to realize her dream. Even in the most difficult class, she did not give up. The students made up ballads to mock her, and she sang along with them. None of the parents came to the meeting, so she rode a small electric donkey to visit one by one. If the mountain does not come, I will go to the mountain. Even though she was suspended by the principal and was repeatedly questioned, she firmly believed that these students could do it, and continued to encourage and help them. In the end, she not only led the students in this class to counterattack, but also influenced later generations by example, and became the North Star in many people's hearts.
The third is her entertaining teaching method. She knows that ordinary and rigid teaching is not suitable for this group of active students, so she always combines knowledge points with practical life, and leads them to learn to learn in joy. Compared with the previous advantages, I think this teaching method is the least important one.
What a great influence a good teacher has on students. Some people like or hate a course because of their liking for the teacher. Some people benefit from the teacher's encouragement and guidance for life. Violence and blow leave a permanent shadow in my heart. I don't want to make any more pointless odes to the profession, and I don't want to make any accusations or demands of them. If a society wants to move forward, it will inevitably need excellent people's teachers, but we cannot just ask everyone to be teachers. The greatest help a society can do to teachers is respect. Respect the profession of teachers and give them treatment commensurate with their efforts. When hearing about a great teacher who sacrificed his life for others, praise him but do not kidnap teachers who have not reached this level with this morality. When you hear that an unethical teacher has caused harm to students, condemn him but do not use such malice to speculate and doubt the morality of other teachers.
I believe that the vast majority of teachers in the world are still willing to take care of their students. One of the clips in the film that moved me was that after Mr. Wadia found out that the so-called cheating in Class F was framed by his own students, he reflected on his behavior, admitted his mistakes in time, and took all the faults alone. The student was therefore exempted from punishment. Teacher Wadia is actually an upright gentleman. The prejudice against Class F probably stems from a kind of prejudice and distrust of the upper class towards the people at the bottom, but he can still distinguish right from wrong, knowing that it is not honorable to frame things. When he heard his students take credit for him in a proud tone, saying that he designed and framed the students of class F, what did he think in his heart? He looked deeply at his proud student, the young man who had no experience in the world at all. Is he reflecting that he usually only pays attention to teaching them knowledge, while ignoring their moral education? Or maybe his prejudice was too serious, which subtly influenced the students' view of class F. They dare to laugh at and exclude those children from poor backgrounds, why is it not because of their own acquiescence and indulgence?
Naina's appearance shatters prejudice, injects vitality into this rigorous school, and at the same time has a more human touch. I hope there will be more people in this world who are tolerant, firm and brave like Teacher Naina.
