After watching this film, it should be said that I only have a deep impression on that martial arts scene and the moment when Donnie Yen was pushed down at the end. Especially for my friends like me who are used to the victory of justice over evil and a happy ending, Zhen's death is too hard to accept. Fortunately, it was Hong's wife and daughter who were killed by Zhen, who were also innocent people. The ending of this play seemed meaningful, and Zhen's death finally had some value.
The director deliberately arranged this scene, I thought it was a rare thing in Hong Kong films in recent years.
It's still hard to forget the look in Zhen Po's eyes when he came out of the window, what was that? Innocence, humiliation, despair...
As for those bugs in the film, or the inappropriateness of the plot, I don't think you need to be too persistent. It's just a movie, it's good to give you space to think, why bother to get to the bottom of it
