Before the main text, please listen to me tell a little story.
The police force is limited, and on the edge of the jurisdiction, there is a small village leaning on the mountain, which is not bound by the outside world. The village was poor, and the villagers decided to cut trees to make money. Since it was the decision of the village, no one stopped them, and more than half of the trees were cut in a few months. A young man was afraid of the torrents, so he gave advice, but unfortunately everyone did not listen to him and punished him. The young man had to think of a way to attack the tree feller when it was dark, but there would always be a new person cutting the tree the next day. After going back and forth, everyone knew that the young man did it, so they caught him and beat him, and finally pushed him off the cliff. Who would have thought that the young man was still alive, and after a month of training, he returned to the village to take revenge with a gun he had picked up from nowhere. A young police officer had just taken office and was ordered to inspect the border. When he came here, he saw that there was no one at home, and some corpses were lying on the ground. During the confrontation, the police knew the cause and effect, and he had to minimize the sacrifice. May I ask, what choice should he make?
With this story in mind, we begin the text.
Accompanied by the long music, the picture leads to a picturesque small village by the river. The world here looks beautiful, but is it true? Of course not, if you don't believe me, please read the following. Changsheng's father said: "If you eat lobster, the monsters will eat you." Changsheng replied: "There are no monsters here." There are no monsters at this time. Is this an adult coaxing or a child's ignorance? The answer was quickly revealed - Changsheng's father died, indicating that there are indeed monsters in the world here (a simple paragraph not only promotes the plot, but also reveals the worldview of the film). The father struggled in the water, the blood scattered in the water, but the little girl looked at and laughed and said that she was a fool. I remember someone said that this little girl could not act, but she was smiling even though she should cry. Is that so? If a director can't even control such an important scene, he doesn't need to be a director. The little girl is a manifestation of ignorance. She has never seen such a thing, how would she know that her father was killed? So she took it for granted that her father was still teasing her, so she laughed instead of being reasonable, just like when someone around you died, should you bless him for going to heaven or pray for him to go to hell, you don't know, so you You can say you are ignorant. Ignorance is something that can only be seen from high to low without knowing oneself, so ordinary people see little girls as ignorant but don't know that high-level people (such as Xuanzang) see them as ignorant.
The little girl's name is Changsheng, which is also very interesting - although it expresses the wishes of mortals, it also exposes their ignorance. It’s true that you want your children to live forever, but mortals are in dire straits due to their ignorant behavior (for example, villagers misunderstand and kill good people) (for example, good people take revenge on villagers because of resentment), and they are ignorant and do not know the reason, and then A vicious cycle (explained in detail later), and now mortals want their children to live (suffer) longer in dire straits, why not ignorance? And because of their own ignorance, the wish of mortals (longevity) is even more impossible to achieve, so longevity must die (it must not be achieved) (the director deliberately arranged).
Why is it said that mortals live in the heat of water? I summarize the following points:
1. Depressed. When the Taoist priest said that he had caught the fish demon, the villagers jumped into the water with excitement. The first time they saw it, they thought it was illogical, but now it seems reasonable, because everyone knows that there are demons in the water, so even if they are close to the water, they are not Dare to enter, but for a long time, we have been peaceful and vigilant, and this has caused tragedy. Now that I know that the fish demon has been eliminated, why not swim happily?
2. to lose money. In order to solve the problem of demons, we had to hire an exorcist to subdue demons (more about exorcists will be explained later), and the fat and oily water caused many people to fish in troubled waters (such as Taoist priests), so whether demons were driven or not, money It must have been spent.
3. Death. Because of the existence of demons, life is constantly being slaughtered, and mortal life does not last long, so Changsheng gets this name.
From the above three points, it can be seen that the hardships of mortals are caused by demons, and demons are transformed by mortals who suffer from resentment and give up their hearts. So in the final analysis, some mortals inflict grievances on other mortals, and the latter turn into demons after they die. Retaliation for the former is repeated, and it is all human beings who suffer. Humans are always relishing the consequences of their own suffering, but they are obsessed with it. This is dire straits.
Compared with ordinary people, Xuanzang is neither ignorant nor ignorant, so he can see through the conspiracy of Gao Lao Zhuang, and he also knows the true face of the ancient fish, which is not like the village chief - "The Taoist chief said that it was possessed by a monster" - this It's sheer ignorance.
The fish demon was subdued, but Xuanzang deeply blamed himself for not saving more people. This is kindness, this is justice, this is great love, or, in other words, he is the only real person left in this world. Goodness, of course, mortals also have goodness, which can be seen when saving babies, but against the background of "ignorance", this kind of goodness appears extremely ignorant: killing traffickers to prevent more children from being kidnapped is justice, right? Beating the visitor to prevent the monster from being rescued is considered justice, right? But what did they actually do? They killed the good man who saved the child, causing the good man to become an evil demon and causing more villagers to die (it is worth mentioning why this demon insisted on the child, because he was trying to save the child. I was only beaten to death, I even suspected that the child was immortal as a baby), beat Xuanzang and killed more villagers again without listening to advice, so their goodness was just what they thought, but in fact it was just another kind of evil deed .
Demons are evil, mortals (represented by villagers) are evil, and so are exorcists. What kind of existence is an exorcist? From the details of the movie, the following points can be summed up:
1. The exorcist earns commissions for mortals to exorcise demons, which is the source of the exorcist's income.
2. The exorcism industry is lucrative, and exorcists are generally popular, which has led to many people trying to find fish in troubled waters. The Taoist priest at the beginning is a typical example, and it has also caused exorcists from outside the realm to intervene and even kill competition within the industry (although they lied to Xuanzang. but its purpose is to convince Xuanzang that this phenomenon does exist). The popularity of this industry also reveals the background of the rampant demons from the side (the rampant demons, which means that too many mortals are ignorant and the inner demons are too deep).
3. The more famous the exorcist is, the higher the income. There are many ways to improve your reputation, you can visit various places to exorcise more, you can also defeat famous exorcists or kill well-known big demons, such as Zhu Gangjiao, such as the demon king Sun Wukong.
4. The fundamental purpose of the exorcist is money, whether it is demon life or human life is irrelevant to the exorcist. For details, please refer to the section on Pig Gang Mane. Therefore, the reason is very simple. Miss Duan said that the pig demon is the demon with the highest bounty in this area, and they came here to kill the demon to receive the money. They kill pig demons as easy as the palm of their hand, but they let them go for the sake of their reputation. Of course they know the consequences of letting go of the pig demons—the night of the full moon, life is ruined. But instead of chasing each other, they frolicked with each other, and the reason was very simple - life was ruined, and the commission was even higher. When fighting the monkey monsters, it can be seen that they came after the pig monsters. During Xuanzang's search for Sun Wukong, they did not kill the pig monsters, in order to make a lot of money on the night of the full moon, and when Wukong came out of the mountain, it was exactly the same time. On the night of the full moon (it was the waning moon when the pig demon came out of the mountain, and the exorcist waited for half a month), that is to say, if Xuanzang hadn't made a plan to subdue the pig demon, I really don't know how many civilians would be devastated by then!
From these four points, it is not difficult to see that the profession of exorcists is actually evil. They have no kindness and can inflict pain on others or even kill for the sake of wealth and fame. It can be said that they are better than demons. And Miss Duan, who is also an exorcist, although she cannot directly prove that she is evil, she is not good either! The last sentence of her first appearance was "If you have money, donate a little bit", indicating that she is also for money, and the same is true for the pig-fighting demon section. Kindness! There are two very interesting paragraphs. One is that there is a minion who doesn't want to fight, and begging for mercy when he is beaten. Miss Duan doesn't listen and breaks it up abruptly. Request: "Be gentle? Thank you!" The demon named "evil" and the exorcist (Miss Duan) named "justice" formed an ironic contrast.
Next is the main event - the demon. The demon in the film uses the character prototype of Journey to the West. In fact, he wears a coat of Journey to the West and uses a familiar routine to tell an unfamiliar story.
How did the demon come? There are several explanations in the film - "Demon, why does it become a demon, because the human heart is invaded by demons", and then the cause of the fish demon - "Kill it to death and throw it into the river of corpses, and let the fish and beasts drink its blood and eat it. Meat, his resentment is hard to pacify, he turned into a half-fish and half-beast water demon, and came back to take revenge on the villagers", and the cause of the pig demon - "but his daughter-in-law thought she was ugly and committed adultery with a beautiful man, and conspired to use a nine-tooth rake. Killing him, because of his love turned into hatred and his grievance into a demon, he vowed to kill all the women in the world who love beautiful men." To sum up, it is the above-mentioned "death of resentment, transformed by demons in the heart", see here, Do you have compassion for demons? Quoting Xuanzang's original words - "It turns out that he is also a pitiful person", we can see that the so-called hateful people also have pitiful things, and those poor people also have hateful things! Therefore, there is no absolute good and no absolute evil.
Regarding the demon in the film, there are many details worth pondering. Why is the fish demon a water demon that is half fish and half beast? Because the place where he was thrown was in the river, and it was fish and beasts that ate him. Why is he so obsessed with children? He was beaten to death because he was saving the child, and he resented the child the most. And why is the pig demon a pig demon, and why is the appearance of a perfect man? Because he was born as ugly as a pig, and his daughter-in-law thought he was ugly and committed adultery with a handsome man, he wanted the most perfect appearance. Why is his weapon a nine-toothed rake? Because he was killed by a nine-tooth rake, he would also use a nine-tooth rake to kill others. Why was he attracted to Miss Duan's dance? Quoting two sentences in the film - "However, he still loves his wife deeply", "He is a lover, and he is very infatuated with his daughter-in-law". There are various details, which shows the intentions of the screenwriter and director. As for the details of Sun Wukong, I think it is necessary to savor it later.
Before Xuanzang left, his master described Sun Wukong as follows: vicious and cunning, sinister and sinister, and resentful too deep. Friends who have seen the movie know it, but I will give you the details, and you will know that Sun Wukong has been fierce and cunning to the point of terror.
When Xuanzang first entered the cave, Sun Wukong happily rushed over and said, "Finally here, it's been five hundred years", which means that after being locked for five hundred years, he finally had a chance to come out today, and as an extremely rare opportunity, he wanted to Guaranteed to be successful, so from now on, it was all his deception and acting.
Anyone who can come in must know that he is insidious and cunning, and that he is going to go out, so he wants people to think that he has discovered his insidiousness, making him unable to turn over and unable to come out. So he behaved well first, and deliberately showed that he wanted people to believe him. A smart person knew his cunning and knew that he was cheating, and then he would definitely use a trick. Sun Wukong is very clear about this way of thinking, and deliberately displays his own "scheme" for others - "I am using your desire to get rid of the pig demon, and pull out the stone that suppressed me as an 'exorcism holy fire order', so that I will You can go out." In order to prevent the visitors from being unable to see through this "scheme", he also deliberately sold the flaws in his rhetoric - Xuanzang only said that he wanted to subdue the pig demon, but he didn't say whether to kill or capture, but Sun Wukong decisively said "destroy", in "" After discovering that it was wrong, it was renamed "Awakening the truth, goodness and beauty of people". Xuanzang was smart, and he did not live up to the master's entrustment - "with your wisdom", he soon discovered Sun Wukong's "scheme", but unfortunately, Sun Wukong was much smarter than Xuanzang.
After the "scheme" was exposed, Sun Wukong "finally" revealed his "true face". He is very familiar with people's thinking routines. Sun Wukong, who showed his "true face", first emphasized his ferocity, and then shyly expressed that he is weak now, and he bleeds when he chops sugar cane (it will recover after being whipped, and the pig-sucking demon is very strong, will he chop sugar cane and bleed?), Then I was whipped by the vines on purpose. This is telling Xuanzang - you see, I am very weak now, and it is impossible to go out. You can rest assured.
Next, I will deliberately use the steps given by Xuanzang to go down, and obey his will, so that he feels that he has the ability to control himself. At this point, basically everyone has figured out the "details" of my Sun Wukong. At this time, I One more small request would not be too much? You see, you already know the details of me. I am weak, and I will definitely not be able to get out. I can't use any strategies, because you are very smart, you can see through it at once, and you persuade me to be kind, and I really want to do it. Good, helping you conquer the pig demon is the beginning of my epiphany, and I just want to take a look at the moon.
After all, it was a monkey. As soon as he came out, he couldn't wait to shake things out. Moreover, he inadvertently revealed a flaw in the cave - "Miss Duan's figure is really good." Xuanzang looked at the entrance of the cave, very strange (see not outside), "how do you know", "because I see with my eyes". Sun Wukong can even see the figure of Miss Duan outside the cave clearly, how can he not see the moon in the sky? I'm afraid that in the cave, the world knows everything, and that's how Zhu Gangheng knew about it, and I'm afraid he would have known about Xuanzang's coming to him, so everything in the cave was set up by him for Xuanzang. (simply scary).
Sun Wukong came out, and when I saw this image, I was stunned! The previous details came out after I watched it many times, but when I saw the image of Sun Wukong for the first time, I was surprised and exclaimed, "Wonderful, wonderful!":
Lei Gongzui, four feet tall, is for Yuan Shuye. Monkey body,
bloodthirsty, eating evil and not good, fierce and cunning demon heart,
old banners and banners still exist, chain armor but no cash,
fierce and powerful have passed away, but still do not give up the old name.
In terms of image, it not only restores the original work at a high level, but also adds what he wants to portray - he can't let go of the past, which is also a common point of demons, but the difference between Sun Wukong is that not only can't let go of old grudges, but also let go Not losing the fame of the past, but also adding new grudges, and new grudges make him stronger.
Why do you say he can't let go of his past reputation? You can look at his clothes: the banner and flag are obviously old, but he hangs high behind his back, the chain and gold armor are dim, but he still wears it, his clothes To outsiders, the dress is actually ridiculous, but the ridiculous dress symbolizes his former glory, and he can't let it go. In addition to the clothes, it can also be seen that he emphasized the viciousness of the year. Therefore, it is obviously a cannon that has been mute for five hundred years, but he insists on clinging to the prestige of the past. In the final analysis, it is an old cannon now.
Different from the hero image, this Monkey King is evil to the end, his image is not only subversive, but also domineering as well as any other version:
I am the king of all demons in the world, and the
fierce name is very arrogant.
With a roar, the sea covered me, and the
clouds in the nine heavens swayed in fear.
I know from a distance that I was the craziest ,
but I was defeated by the Buddha, and now I am fierce and powerful, swearing to kill the gods and Buddhas to fight the emperor! This Sun Wukong is so powerful, how much resentment does he have? In fact, he did not form one resentment, but added new resentment on top of old resentment (explained later). To analyze Sun Wukong, we must first start with old grudges. To know old grudges, we must know his causes, but the problem is that his causes are the most difficult part. The cause of the fish demon and pig demon was explained by Master Xuanzang, but about the life experience of Sun Wukong, he only said that "the resentment is too deep". There is only this paragraph in Sun Wukong's speech: "Five hundred years ago, I was a little Mi Sun who was indifferent. At that time, I had a small festival with the Buddha." Many people may think that "little Mi Sun" It means little monkey. If you think so, please Baidu by yourself. "Little Mi Sun" can be understood as a junior here, and if he can call himself a junior to gods and Buddhas, and can have a festival with Buddha, it means that he has entered the demon path and has There is mana, so this section is just the beginning of his "new grudge" with Buddha, not the beginning of becoming a demon (old grudge). Rhetoric is not enough, we try to analyze from the image. Whether it is a pig demon or a fish demon, the image of becoming a demon queen is closely related to the image before becoming a demon, so I made this assumption: when he was a human being, he was a very smart and fierce person who pursued fame and fortune. He was squeezed out and made fun of, and finally, in the struggle for fame and fortune, he was framed by the alliance and died of grievances. After his death, he became a demon and slaughtered wildly. Because his target was the world's powerful and powerful people, the civil order was in chaos, and he was too clever. After the mountain settled down, he allied with other great demons (Thirteen Taibao), so that no one could surrender to him, so he had to go to heaven, causing him to suffer all the hardships, so he forged a new grudge with heaven, became stronger, and killed Nantianmen. , the hand raised the knife and fell, three days and three nights, the blood flowed into the river, so the Tathagata shot him down, and used a move "Dari Tathagata True Sutra" to trap him in the palm (Sun Wukong's hole is in the palm of the Buddha's mountain). ), to knock down the mundane. As a result, he and the Tathagata also forged new grudges (five hundred years of hardship, the new grudges must not be small).
My assumptions above are not unfounded, as long as you are careful, you can find the reasons from the above and the movie.
I said twice before that he has become stronger, but why am I sure? Listen to me as follows:
1. The three exorcists can recognize Sun Wukong when they see him, and the phrase "the legendary demon king Sun Wukong" shows that they know it by hearing rumors (Xuanzang also said "he is just a legend" ), although the rumors may be inaccurate for hundreds of years, they are not afraid, indicating that according to the description in the rumors, they are confident that they will not be weaker than Sun Wukong.
2. The pig demon was afraid of the Three Exorcists, so he ran away, but he was even more afraid of Sun Wukong, as can be seen from his eyes. But if it doesn't become stronger, 1 and 2 are contradictory. Therefore, it is rumored that Sun Wukong is making waves in the world, and it is rumored that Sun Wukong is killing the Quartet in the sky.
3. When Sun Wukong saw the Buddha-shaped mountain rising, he mistook him for the Tathagata, but later he did not recognize the Buddha as big as the sky (he was frightened like a child by the palm of Xuanzang's Great Sun Tathagata Sutra) With tears in his eyes, he gave in. If he knew, would he still be so arrogant? And it can be seen from the look in his eyes when the Great Buddha appeared), indicating that the Tathagata or the "Dari Tathagata Sutra" that descended on him at that time was this size ( It is one thousand three hundred zhang high and two hundred and fifty-six zhang wide), and when he descends from Foshan, he thinks that he has descended the Tathagata. Sun Wukong was ruthless when he hit the mountain Buddha, and the three exorcists were easily hanged and beaten (the master of the empty man couldn't even penetrate his physical body), indicating that the mountain Buddha is far above the exorcist, and also He used to be above him, and now he can beat him with one punch. Here it is more intuitive to show that he is much stronger than before.
And the reason why I say that he will increase "new resentment" is because he can become stronger, because the formation and power of demons come from inner demons, and inner demons are their resentment. Second, the resentment Wukong showed from the stage to the end was all about the Buddha, and before he had a grudge against the Buddha, there was only a description of the massacre at Nantianmen. At that time, there must be resentment. New grievances since then.
Sun Wukong's arrogance can be said to be ignorant of the heights of the sky and the earth. He thinks that the killing of the Quartet at Nantianmen is very powerful, and he thinks that it is very powerful to subdue the mountain Buddha. As a result, he was frightened by the palm of Xuanzang's big Buddha, and there were tears in his eyes. A child, the once prestige that he couldn't let go of, turned out to be a joke, so after a palm, whether it was a flag or a chainmail, it all "disappeared". Coincidentally, this corresponds to the phrase "Little Mi Sun".
After Sun Wukong, it is time to talk about the most central character in the film - Chen Xuanzang. If Sun Wukong is the core of this film - the main representative of evil in the concept of good and evil, then Chen Xuanzang is basically all the good in the film.
In fact, only Xuanzang has the "big love" repeatedly mentioned in the movie. Whether it is an ordinary person (foolishness), an exorcist (hypocrisy) or a demon (unkindness), they are all evil in a cloak. Xuanzang's appearance when the villagers turned back, what they wanted to express was actually their hideousness. They just deliberately stopped the fleeting hideousness so that you could take a closer look to create a laugh. ;Miss Duan beat the little demon into a serious shape. What she wanted to express was the cruelty of the exorcist, but she added the doll's voice to the cruelty, subtly turning terror into a comedy; The big mouth, the blood feast designed by the pig demon to eat people, and the monkey demon killing all kinds of demons, in fact, it is terrifying to the point of trembling, but even such horror and evil are silently ignored. Loudly buried in the movie (only, can see the evil, one in a hundred?); beyond that, Master Xuanzang, is he good? No! The reason will be discussed later.
What kind of love was Xuanzang's great love? In fact, to put it simply, it is like the love that parents treat their children, regardless of whether they are human or demon, they are all treated as children. The reason why there are 300 children's songs is 300 children's songs, it expresses Xuanzang's state of mind of great love, the child is ignorant (the villagers beat Xuanzang violently), I don't blame you, the child did something wrong (the fish monster swallows the human), I want Teach you, but child, you are naughty and disobedient, do not admit your mistakes, and do not change your inferiority (the monkey demon killed Miss Duan), then I will teach you a good lesson (Dari Tathagata True Sutra), if you admit your mistakes, I will Forgive you, you are still my good boy (Xuanzang and Wukong embrace).
Even so, Xuanzang's cognition also changed over time. At first, the child did something wrong, education was useless, and his wickedness would hurt more children, so he decided to teach him a lesson, and even had to obliterate it, because other people Also his child. Therefore, great love is actually a love that weighs the interests of the overall situation and makes sacrifices. In order to protect everyone's safety, stubborn children may need to be taught a lesson or even obliterated (just admit their mistakes, it is better not to kill, after all, they are all their own children).
Why does Xuanzang have the love that parents have for their children? Because following the master to practice Buddhism, one can see through falsehoods and no longer ignorant and ignorant, so why Xuanzang can see through the conspiracy of Gao Laozhuang is not because he has any magic power, but because he is not ignorant and can not be deceived by appearances. All beings in the world are ignorant and ignorant (explained above), and he alone sees through falsehoods. He sees mortals as Buddhas looking down on all beings, but he has a heart of compassion. Why did his master say that he didn't find the wrong person, because he is the only one in this world who has the truth and goodness. If you bring people who don't have the truth and goodness to the Dao, then the person who looks down on all living beings is not a Buddha, but a foolish monarch. The Buddha sees sentient beings as ignorant, just like a parent sees a child. You may object, then I ask you, where is the line between children growing up or not? height? Can some young and outstanding also be old and short; age? There are veterans who have been housekeeping since childhood, and there are children who have not grown up. So what's the line -- I think it's rationality and cognition, that is, if you're ignorant, you're a child, and when you're sensible, you're a grown-up.
There is a Buddha's perspective, but he has not become a Buddha (not referring to the fruition), because he is still a little bit short - his inner demon. Why is his demon?
"I don't have a goose leg in my heart, so it's fine to eat it. If you want to eat it in your heart, but you say you don't want to eat it, it's just a little bit short." The goose legs implicitly refer to the desires in Xuanzang's heart. The most obvious one is his love for Miss Duan. Then this sentence can be translated as: You like her in your heart, but you don't like her in your mouth. You are so close to becoming a Buddha. !
This little bit is actually something Xuanzang couldn't let go of. Can't put it down, it seems simple, but who has done it? The fish demon can't let go of the hatred for children, the pig demon can't let go of the infatuation with his daughter-in-law, and the monkey demon can't let go of the resentment of the past, nor the prestige of the past. Buddha. The exorcist can't let go, he can't let go of fame and fortune, he can't let go of money, he can't let go of mortals, he can't let go of the fetters of his relatives, and he can't let go of his own desires.
And Xuanzang, not only has this desire, love is only his strongest one.
Xuanzang had the lofty goal of subduing demons and demons, saving the world and helping people. In theory, they were to have no desires and no desires, so they were just street beggars. It was suppressed in his heart, so the old beggar didn't have "goose legs" in his heart, but he had "goose legs" in his heart, but he didn't show it. If you can't let go, you can't stop the desire.
But how can we stop lust? If you want to cut off, you need to understand, to understand, then you need to experience. The more you want to cut off completely, the more you need to experience and understand. Only by experiencing war can we know the horror of war and the preciousness of peace. Only by experiencing the bitterness of the cold night can we know the despair of the night and the warmth of the light. However, whether it is a demon or a human, they cannot let go or escape because they have experienced it. Xuanzang knows that, so he does not dare to experience or love, but to reach that point, he must experience it. So, he experienced pain, love, and sadness. Finally, he was able to let go. He also reached that point. "Three Hundred Children's Songs" lost its disguise and became "The Great Sun Tathagata True Sutra" , Yu Yi Xuanzang also lost his disguise and became a Buddha. If Xuanzang hadn't had an epiphany, he might have resented that Nanping had turned into a monster. Fortunately, he escaped and became a Buddha.
Because Xuanzang became a Buddha, he was able to radiate Buddha's light, so he was able to recite the "Great Sun Tathagata True Sutra" twice to attract the great Buddha. Some people say that the Great Buddha's use of violence against violence violates the original intention of influencing with kindness. Too many people think so, including Lao Liang. I can only tell you righteously about this - you didn't read it carefully. Each of the three monsters was violently subdued, the fish demon was taken by Miss Duan, the pig demon was taken by the monkey demon, and the monkey demon was taken by Xuanzang. Although the old beggar claimed that the 300 nursery rhymes are used to awaken the truth, goodness and beauty of people and stifle the devilish nature, but in fact it does not work, the devil is too deep, how can a nursery song awaken it? The three hundred children’s songs that the old beggar said actually refers to its true face—Dari Tathagata’s True Sutra, and even when he went to Sun Wukong, the old beggar asked him to keep silent about the title of the book—“With your wisdom, there are also This book...", because he was talking about the Great Sun Tathagata Sutra, and Xuanzang really relied on his wisdom and the Great Sun Tathagata Sutra to subdue Sun Wukong. In fact, their original intention was to use violence to stifle the demonic nature, and then awaken the truth, the good and the beautiful. Didn't they see the old beggar directly break the fangs of the snake. The true face of the 300 nursery rhymes, in fact, the old beggar has already revealed - "When you cultivate, you will naturally understand, and then you will know the true infinite power of the 300 nursery rhymes", it should be explained, he (movie) It's all explained, what should be shown, he has shown it, but we ourselves lack the vision to find out.
As far as Xuanzang was concerned, at first he planned to use nursery rhymes to awaken the truth and goodness, but he discovered the truth later, that is, violence can only be surrendered, so he began to try violent solutions when he was a pig demon, until he finally let go, this transformation process, he It can be regarded as being led by the nose secretly by the old beggar.
In fact, Xuanzang gave the answer at the end of how to cut off desires: only when you have experienced pain can you know the true suffering of sentient beings, when you have attachments, you can let go of them, and when you have worries, you can no longer worry about them. I don't know how many times I've read this line, but when I really understood it, I realized that it was so subtle. Those who understand it and those who don't understand it seem to have two meanings. Those who understand it must have one in a hundred miles.
What's more, the first few lines are difficult to understand for those who can understand it. Even if I wrote this article for nearly a year, it was only in the last few days that I really understood - "The love of men and women is also included in the so-called so-called love of men and women. Within the great love, the love of all beings is love, and there is no distinction between big and small." At this time, Xuanzang had cut off his desires, he no longer had the love between men and women of ordinary people, and he had no desires. Love is different. In the past, great love was like the love of a parent. The enlightened person looked at the ignorant. He just showed compassion to all beings but didn't know how they felt. He wanted to use his own hands to subdue the demons in the world. Now, although there are elements of compassion for all living beings, they are not viewed from high to low, but at the same level, because like mortals and monsters, they have experienced love and sadness, pain and resentment. Everyone is actually the same. He has been able to He felt it personally and used emotionless feelings to understand the lust of the world. He knew the sufferings of all living beings, and then he knew that driving demons could not be cured. So he decided to go west to Tianzhu and use those twenty-two scriptures to promote the Buddhadharma and let them have an epiphany with their own hearts. , to surrender their inner demons, thereby liberating from suffering and awakening the sleeping truth, goodness and beauty (original human nature is all kindness like a child - "Three Hundred Children's Songs"). Therefore, Journey to the West subdues the demons, and it is the inner demon that subdues the demons. From this point of view, Journey to the West subduing the demons will fall behind him. (Xuanzang's experience, I wonder if it has helped you to further understand Mr. Lu Xun's painstaking efforts to abandon medicine and pursue literature?)
You ask me if Xuanzang still loves Miss Duan? Yes, it’s just that he has no desires, which is different from our love. Our loves are all derived from desires, regardless of parental love, lover’s love, or friend’s love, so we are destined to be extremely difficult. Really understand his love. No matter who he loves, in fact, it belongs to the love of compassion for all beings. This kind of love has no desire, no desire, and no emotion. However, because he realizes the different sufferings of all beings, he has different love for all beings. Love is not the same as love for other sentient beings (please forgive me for not being able to explain it), but it is also different from the original. It is a kind of love without emotion, so it is called "the love of men and women, which is also included in the so-called great love". , and although there are differences in love, they are all living beings, and love is equal, so it is "the love of all living beings is love, and there is no distinction between big and small."
Zhou Xingchi, an old man who believed in Buddhism all his life, was a wise man, and had a profound understanding of Buddhism. Among them, this "desireless" love appeared in many of his movies, such as Mermaid, Kung Fu, Westward Journey, Variety Xingjun, etc., But although they are both called "No Desires", the difference is actually huge, and the "No Desires" of this film is the most special, and I will not elaborate on the details. Stephen Chow has incorporated a lot of his philosophy on Buddhism into this film, and I mainly rely on details for logical reasoning. Regarding his philosophy of Buddhism, I only understand the skin, so please forgive me for not being able to interpret it all. I think this analysis is relatively comprehensive, but I am afraid that it is not even half of the film, and most of the rest are Buddhist thoughts. If you are interested, you can try to interpret it, and I can also give you some tips. Tall head - "I beat your most beloved woman to the point of not leaving a hair, what can your Buddha do for you? You are in pain, what can your Buddha do for you?" Although Sun Wukong resented the Buddha, he It's not unreasonable, may I ask, what is your answer?
Digging holes to fill, I will continue.
Xuanzang's master, who did you think when you first saw it? With a fat body and a kind face, is it the Tathagata? As for his true identity, I think it can be speculated. The master knows what Xuanzang has done outside. Some people say that he colluded with Miss Duan. All he knows is what Miss Duan told him. For this reasoning, I think it is still possible, but I am more inclined to my reasoning. : Like Sun Wukong, he can see through things and see a thousand miles. However, if we speculate in this way, then he is a person with magical power, either the Tathagata or the Tathagata's Law Bodies. What are you doing here? It can be seen from the end of the film that he wants to train a person who can go to Tianzhu to ask for the scriptures to spread Buddhism, and to make Xuanzang willing to learn the scriptures, he must let Xuanzang understand a little bit and become a Buddha. , Miss Duan's sacrifice is essential, so it seems that Miss Duan's appearance is not accidental. Regardless of my reasoning or conspiracy speculation, the appearance of Miss Duan is the product of a conspiracy, a conspiracy to let a certain selected person go to the West to learn Buddhist scriptures and spread Buddhism. It fits perfectly with the original.
At this point, you should understand that the old beggar, no, it should be an old monk. After Xuanzang became a Buddha, he also lost his disguised hair and became a monk. What the old monk said and did was to cultivate people who learned from the scriptures, so whether he is good or evil, whether he has love or not is actually unknown.
Next, talk about the love concept of this movie. Many people compare the love in this movie with the Westward Journey, but love is the biggest theme of the Westward Journey, and in Journey to the West to Conquer the Demons, love is just a tool for Xuanzang to have an epiphany. How to compare? It's not the same thing at all! In the words of the movie, "the love of men and women is also included in the so-called great love". The love we have been pursuing is actually only a small part of the great love, and even this small part, we feel It is so broad that it cannot be seen by our eyes, so how can we ordinary people understand the greater love? If you can understand, you are the one who took the scriptures, otherwise there are so many people in the world, why only Xuanzang was selected. However, even this kind of great love is only the third theme of the film. Above him is the concept of good and evil (explained above), and at the top is "Buddha" (it can't be said to be Buddhist theory, the scope of "Buddha" Even bigger, I even think that great love and the concept of good and evil are part of "Buddha", so in the end this movie is about "Buddha"). I have read it nine times in its entirety, plus some parts, I have read it eleven or two times, but many Buddhist principles are still obscure and difficult to understand. Become a Buddha (his favorite is the Tathagata).
In the movie, there are two kinds of women's love, one is to love beautiful men, and the other is to like connotation. Obviously, the movie promotes the latter, and Stephen Chow's view of love is the latter. Miss Duan has such a line "This is the real brave man, not like those stinky men", I guess girls like this kind of boy with connotation and strong heart.
Many people have been trapped in the big talk and can't get out of the Westward Journey, and refuse to look forward. In the words of the previous article, it means "can't let go". Zhou Xingchi has been moving forward. A few decades ago, there were also such a group of people who felt that Stephen Chow had subverted the movie and made the movie lose its previous flavor, and then kept complaining that Stephen Chow was not. In my opinion, these two groups are the same kind of people. If I want to say, the connotation and deep meaning of this film are the highest in Stephen Chow's films, but due to some shortcomings in the film, I think it is tied for second place with Dahua Westward Journey. As for the first, it is kung fu. It's a pity that too many people can't understand Journey to the West and Conquering the Demons, no, to be precise, they can't see the connotation of Stephen Chow's films. ", also, how can there be so many people in this world, what they need is not Zhou Xingchi, but Zhou Xingchi more than 20 years ago.
The special effects and acting skills are also worth mentioning in the film. Let’s talk about the special effects first. Many places are very good. It was definitely in the forefront of the country at the time. The overall feeling to me is that, different from the West’s use of dirty pictures to show the “texture” of the movie, the picture of this movie is very clean. But the effect is still real. Xuanzang was looking for the scenery on Wukong Road. Actually, it felt a little fake at first glance. After watching it several times, even in 1080p, he realized that it turned out to be very real. Seeing it feels unreal.
Next is acting. Many people say that the actors in this movie are not good at acting. Sorry, I greatly disagree! It is true that some group performances are relatively stiff, especially the stiff expressions of the villagers at the beginning, which gave us a bad preconceived impression, but there are still many groups with good acting skills, and the three leading actors are really wonderful, especially Huang Bo, wonderful!
In the group performance of the villagers, there is one person who I think is good. He is the first person to say "kill him". During the pause, you can even see a little tears in his eyes. After that, I will pay attention to his scenes. Now, I think it's very good, and I can even predict that if there is Bole, he may become a good horse!
Xuanzang's master could see that he was a veteran actor, and he gave a very good performance in the part of eating goose legs. With that glance, he could really see the feeling of teaching Xuanzang and being aloof.
As Miss Duan, Shu Qi finally let go of herself after being constantly guided by Stephen Chow, and completely integrated into a character that is very different from her own. Shu Qi's acting skills are good, and she is powerful, and then "trained" by Zhou Xingchi, the effect is quite impressive. I think her most exciting part is Gao Lao Zhuang's Fighting Demon, completely letting go of herself.
The article is also a well-known and powerful actor, and his performance in this film is absolutely great. Many people say that he is a little paralyzed, but Xuanzang is a person with a perspective beyond ordinary people, especially after experiencing desire and finally becoming a Buddha. The world, of course, is indifferent or even expressionless, and he is also very accurate where there should be expressions. I think the most exciting part of his performance is the embarrassment when he sucks the primordial spirit of the pig demon.
The most outstanding is of course Huang Bo. Many people think that the poor performance of the article and Shu Qi may be due to the comparison of Huang Bo. I think Huang Bo's acting skills in this film are among the best in his acting career. To quote Lao Liang's words, it is "to the very top."
If the passing score is 60 points and the director is satisfied with 100 points, I think Huang Bo has 120 points. I don't want to brag, but I think his acting skills are simply at their peak, even "a little bit" higher than that of the best actor. Sun Wukong's play is extremely difficult, but Huang Bo not only successfully completed the task, but also made a further interpretation of the image of Sun Wukong. It is not an exaggeration to say that "three points into the wood" is not an exaggeration.
At first, it went from almost thirsty joy, to jerky and simple friendly and pious epiphany, to the "deception" of eight-point nervousness and two-point coursing, and the bitterness and annoyance after being "discovered" (○ 1), and then changed in an instant, with a domineering and awe-inspiring posture (○2), and then changed the topic, showing a rage that was both funny and domineering. After being embarrassed by cutting sugar cane, he immediately appeared to be strong and hard-working, guilty and unable to let go. Zunao, after being exposed and losing face, looked arrogant and jumping, and after being whipped, his grievance and confusion (○3) and his expression of lamenting five hundred years of hardship (○4) were extremely pitiful. Then Shu Qi appeared on the stage, Huang Bo looked like a real old driver, and a few words made her shiver (it is almost in line with reality, girls can't stand the old driver at all, diaosi can only watch) . To subdue the pig demon, Huang Bo's extremely arrogant but just restrained expression (○5) made people a little timid. After that, the lotus flower was picked, the plan was successful, and the hard performance finally ended. Huang Bo had a bitter, happy and a little proud expression (○6), and then I thought the most exciting came, very cleverly changing face under the palm of the hand, bitter After that, Huang Bo immediately switched to an extremely proud, proud and presumptuous look (○7), and when he was extremely proud, his facial features were ferocious, arrogant and domineering (○8)! The time jumped, and after a shocking palm, Huang Bo looked like a frightened child, and was still in fear for the rest of his life (○9), Xuanzang came over to persuade him to surrender, Huang Bo’s eyes were teary, his lips were trembling, and his face was pious ( ○10), at this time, his mood was quite complicated. There were not only the grievances of the bullied child when he saw the adults, but also the feeling of "loving" him after giving grief but not resentment. Huang Bo's performance is a big plus for the movie, and I have specially circled ten very outstanding performances for you to watch and enjoy.
In addition to the performance, many detailed designs are also very delicate, and the details are rich enough to see the sincerity of the director. Here are two examples. The first is the mural of an old monk. The big brush simply and delicately painted the before and after of the monster, which is worth savoring. The second is the indeterminate fly ring. I don't know who made this design. I just think that its subtlety is better than the "Golden Hoop" in the original book, and it runs through the film before and after. Meaning, to understand it, you can understand another layer of meaning that the film wants to express.
In the hands of Miss Duan, the Indefinite Flying Ring is a weapon. It is versatile and can be used in thousands of ways. It is a very practical weapon. This weapon of the gods, has one thing in common - its apparent destruction is innocuous to the core, and the weapon can regenerate if the core is not damaged. Every time the Infinite Flying Ring is summoned, it will be smashed and reassembled, just like a golden hoop. It looks like it was destroyed by the sword of Young Master Kong. In fact, it appears intact at the end. The only thing that is damaged is the surface. It's a matter of fact that it can still appear in the future. So, Sun Wukong is really just playing with them.
The Wuding Flying Ring is a ring between Miss Duan and Xuanzang, representing their love.
After Miss Duan left, the indefinite flying ring became a golden hoop in Xuanzang's hands, which was not only the bondage of Sun Wukong, but also the sustenance of Xuanzang's emotions. Miss Duan died in the hands of Sun Wukong, and now she is using the sins in the hands of Sun Wukong to bind Sun Wukong himself. Xuanzang's love and hatred were all concentrated on one person, so Sun Wukong has a special meaning for Xuanzang. The golden hoop here is actually very similar to the Westward Journey of Dahua, representing bondage, and this meaning echoes the golden hoop in the title. Looking back at the beginning of the film, the golden hoop contains Journey to the West, and Journey to the West looks at the world in the gap, which means that Journey to the West is about life. : The reincarnation of heaven, the cycle of cause and effect, no one is not bound by it, the demon is bound by the past, the exorcist is bound by fame and fortune, the mortal is bound by the fetters, stronger than Wukong, but also bound by sin (Buddha cave, golden hoop), all things in the world, Unable to escape the bondage of the devil. However, Xuanzang, who had walked out of the inner demon, was also in the designed bureau. He knew it was a conspiracy, but he had to follow him. He was also in the ring and could not earn or escape. And the gods and Buddhas above are not bound, no, they can't get out of the cycle of samsara, the cycle of cause and effect. Everything is within the ring, everything seems to be a given, we always struggle to break free from the ring, and then find in despair that we are still within the ring, no one can break free, everything seems to reveal a touch of sadness .
The above sentence is also very suitable for you to get the Dahua Journey to the West.
My understanding is not high, but I am a person who pays attention to logic. This analysis relies on the logical derivation organized according to the details of the film. It was written from the winter vacation of 2016 to the Spring Festival of 2017. Why I am obsessed with writing this analysis is not because I admire the profoundness of this film, but because I deplore the fact that too many people clearly don’t understand it themselves, but it’s not the people who come to scold the film. They are clearly discussing good and evil with you and studying Buddhism However, some people still say, "Besides the special effects, what else is there to watch in this movie, do you want me to watch kidney deficiency?" ) ask me if my eyes are dry?". Mr. Lu Xun's pen can't wake everyone up. Similarly, it is impossible for everyone to understand this movie, or this kind of movie with profound connotations. You can not love it, but please don't hurt. You can't understand it. But if you rely on your own problems to preach the vulgarity and despicability of movies, you can only let people who understand you know that you are just a superficial clown!
Excited, serious, hehe.
At the end of the article, it is time to answer the doubts at the beginning. The opening story is actually the epitome of this movie. The police are Xuanzang, the youth are demons, and the villagers are the world. The villagers are ignorant, and the youth have a pitiful past, but the police will not be shaken by this. His duty is to protect more people. Like the movie, he taught first, but it didn't work, so he shot the young man in the leg, and the young man fell to his knees, but he refused to accept it, resentful, struggling, to kill all the villagers, he had to succeed. At the same time, the police finally shot him to death, and they had to do it. The police took away the body of the young man, and after the villagers recovered, they continued to cut down trees as usual. One night, when they were immersed in a prosperous life, a heavy rain caused a flash flood, and the whole village was not spared.
Xuanzang cherished the people in his heart, but exorcising demons can not cure the symptoms but not the root causes. Only by giving them an epiphany can they fundamentally subdue the demons in their hearts and solve the water-borne fiery heat. Therefore, if he knows it is a trick, he has to drill, and if he knows it is suffering, he has to taste it, and we, why not?
