never give up

I think it is the best film ever made by DreamWorks. I watched it many times since I was young, until I discovered some details that I didn’t pay attention to before: When Spirit was playing with the eagle, he said that he believed he could fly, and then he could see that he ran faster than the eagle. The shadow of the eagle, like an elf on the grassland, runs freely. So when he loses his freedom later, the eagle flying in the sky always deeply affects his soul that wants to restore freedom.

Spirit was trapped three times. The first time he was curious, he strayed into the human domain, was captured, and taken to the training camp. Finally, he broke the railing and ran out with all the horses. The second time it was not long after he ran out. Because he was attracted by rain (hhh), he didn't pay attention, and was trapped by Ogawa and people of the same tribe. Later, because Ogawa realized that he could not be tamed, he was released. The third time was when the village was attacked by the army. He went to rescue the rain and was trapped by soldiers to pull the locomotive to develop the west. Later, he realized that humans were about to invade his hometown. He kicked off all the chains and ran out. Pony Spirit has never compromised, he has never bowed his head.

When he jumped over the cliff, it was a leap of faith, struggling with the determination to either be free or die. The climax of the whole film is here, which is the most touching place. The film perfectly interprets the spirit of the West, the unconquerable and free spirit, and Xiao Ma is the soul of the West.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron quotes

  • Spirit: And so I grew from colt to stallion, as wild and as reckless as thunder over the land. Racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind. Flying? There were times I believed I could.

  • Spirit: There was no end to the strange ways on the two-leggeds.
