(First feel sorry for Wu Yanzu's character for 100 seconds...)
This is a gangster movie with a simple and straightforward story that can be divided into several storylines along the characters.
Xiuxiu, who pursued the outside world, came to Japan and jumped from a wine escort to the wife of a gang boss.
Eguchi, who was born at the bottom, struggled from a gangster to a gang boss.
The couple's desires are so clear. In contrast, "Coward" Ajie just wants a chestnut car, and the smuggler iron head wants to be a person with affection. Other smugglers just want to get permanent residency and live in stealth. Shinjuku overseas Chinese want order and business to flourish. These are not desires, but just some thoughts on how to live a good life.
Ajie was physically disabled and disfigured by his friend's "inappropriate" behavior. Since then, along with other stowaways who have gained power, he has become a new batch of fearless gangsters running rampant. In the end, they overused their power and were killed like all the previous gangs.
Uncontrollable desires eat away at the simple idea of living.
They succumbed to the existing order, looked for a place to live, and became the maker and enforcer of the order. In the absence of oversight, power is exercised infinitely and widely. After arousing widespread public dissatisfaction, this became an excuse for the replacement of the gang in power. Either from outside forces - the police force intervenes, or from within - the gang fights to change.
In the end, the term of the iron head team ended and was replaced by the next team.
As the old overseas Chinese said, gangsters are needed because the masses need maintainers of order. The defenders of the order are chosen out of the public’s need for order, but when this entrusted power is overused, it will not only arouse public dissatisfaction, trigger the emergence of a new batch of gangsters, and subvert both gangsters and gangsters. Provides legitimacy to the emergence and power of the next group.
