"I love Edgar like the leaves in the forest, which change with the seasons.
I love Heathcliff like the rock under the tree, which is eternal."

Love this version (1992), Juliette Binoche honesty and fragility.
Ralph Fiennes' intoxicating eyes, his contempt, coldness...and fiery heart.

"I only pray one prayer, and repeat until my tongue stiffens - I curse you, you will not be at peace as long as I live. You say I killed you, then become a ghost and chase after me, I know there are ghosts in the world, Let your soul wrap around me, any way, make me crazy... just don't leave me in this abyss where you can't be found."

The whole film is smooth, poetic beauty, and the
music is like weeping, The tone of the film is a little dark blue and a little gloomy,
but the wasteland is vast and true love is boundless...

Wuthering Heights quotes

  • Cathy Linton: It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now.

  • Cathy Linton: My love for Linton is like the foliage in the woods: time will change it, I'm well aware, as winter changes the trees. My love for Heathcliff is the eternal rock beneath: a source of little visible delight, but necessary. Nelly, I AM Heathcliff!
