After re-watching, I am more determined that this is a work that can be famous in film history (an inappropriate metaphor: Sonoko Wen Xie's version of "Happy Lazzaro"). Write down your thoughts after reading this:
1. Formal belief is just hypocrisy. All hypocrisy in the film will eventually be destroyed. Desire destroys everything and regenerates everything. Perversion is the savior of all people.
2. The greatest role is the stepmother Kaoru. Yoko describes her with the title "Love の む き だ し", which is the only time the title appears in the entire film's lines.
3. Gu Chi is the godmother of the male protagonist, baptized him in the rainy night (deliberately picked up the broken hair on his forehead and recited his name), and prepared a "miracle" for him.
4. Yoko's first monologue "As long as men are beaten by me", the holy and violent Mary is the only real lesbian in this film (the only two men I like are Cobain and Jesus hahaha).
