Never knew Paris was as foggy at night as London. The director created a chaotic art capital, and after reading it, only the word "Dream of Paris" comes to mind. It's impossible to tell if Anne was a love appeal to Henry and Joan or a catharsis, or just middle-class boredom as Henry said to Joan. Emotions are deep and ethereal, and people's hearts are too chaotic.
What amazes me is that watching so many movies shows the rich diversity of human relationships, and many have practiced them. This makes any dogmatic norm redundant and ridiculous.
Uma Thurman made such a coquettish film before Quentin.
