This movie is so shocking

I haven't cried for a long time because of watching a movie

At the end of the movie, I saw the screams of a three-year-old girl who was ignorantly being circumcised, and I cried to the point of collapse.

This is a life-turning movie based on a true story. It tells the story of how the world's top model Vorice left a poor and backward village to arrive in New York to become a model and give a speech at the United Nations. Along with the main line, there is also the harm of circumcision to women, and circumcision represents the deep-rooted and stubborn ignorance and backwardness. customs and thinking.

A few scenes that impressed me:

1. Grace and her white roommate took off their pants and cried after seeing each other's bodies. Grace should be thankful that she has such a sunny and upright friend. The firm friendship between girls can shelter each other, girls help girls, perhaps far more precious than love.

2. The Somali male nurses he met when he asked the doctor for help deliberately misinterpreted the doctor's original words and slandered and insulted Huaisi with a blank face. He was a representative of the ancient and dirty forces.

3. Grace decided to break through her own concept and find a doctor again for surgery. What she gets is her hard work.

4. The picture returns to her three-year-old circumcision scene, the wild, her most trusted mother, the strange circumcision officer, screaming, blood falling on the rock. I was heartbroken because I also have a daughter of a similar age, and this image continued to play in my mind for two days.

What to say:

Do you think there is only circumcision? Do not! For example, son preference, virginity plots, and the situation of stay-at-home mothers are the collective consciousness left over from these patriarchal societies, which bind thousands of women, accompany them from birth, bring them pain.

Grace can step on her feet and walk out of that desert. We can try it too!
