I feel that the Infernal Affairs trilogy is really an epic classic in terms of plot, lineup and music, and it is totally worth watching again and again.
The first is the unquestioned pinnacle, and the choice between good and evil is written incisively and vividly. The second part revolves around the character of Ni Yongxiao, an epic gangster film. The third part, however, feels that it is entirely to fill in the blanks of the first and second parts, resulting in the plot being intermittent and incoherent, and there is no particularly complete and smooth main line. Coupled with the chaotic chronological order, Liu Jianming also had a split personality, which made it more difficult to understand the first time. However, there are a lot of narrations about Aren's daily life in the third part, which is really the only warm and relaxed scene in the trilogy. I'll have to watch it a second time even if I'm going to Chong Aren.
I really love Aren, I hope he can always sleep in Dr. Li's chair, I hope he can eat enough apple biscuits and shark fins, I hope he can have a good birthday, I hope he can eventually become a veritable policeman. Liang Chaowei's acting skills are so good, his own temperament is so lonely and mysterious, and his smile is so warm, like a big dog hook, he and Aren are too compatible. In addition, Andy Lau and Edison Chen's faces are so handsome that people can't hate Liu Jianming, a vicious bad guy. I really feel that the Hong Kong films at that time were really classic, with a room of movie stars and a room of handsome guys and beauties. It feels like it will never be the same again now.
