Some characteristics of Japanese

I always feel that Japanese people are surprised, in Japanese movies. In some movies, it seems that their facial expressions are not rich enough. I thought it might be the current Japanese movie ethos, or maybe it's limited by the content of the movie. But after watching this "Extremely Evil and Outrageous", I suddenly stopped guessing like this.

I have seen a famous movie by Akira Kurosawa before. The samurai on the island crawled and rolled all over the place at every turn. I felt that the Japanese made me a little uncomfortable. So I closed the movie without watching much. But this "Extremely Wicked" suddenly made me realize that although they were all wearing black suits, they were still crawling and rolling on the floor as they were hundreds of years ago. The underworld in "Extremely Wicked" is a group of shoguns in suits. The Japanese mannerisms have not changed at all.

So I thought the surprise of the Japanese was real, not deliberately pretending in the movie. But as for the lack of richness and subtlety of their facial expressions, it may also be related to my cultural heritage, and I may not be able to recognize some of their expressions.

Anyway, the Japanese are very interesting, they are absolutely obedient to the hierarchy, and they try their best to show it in terms of physical behavior. The superior's speech is always so arbitrary, arrogant and rude for no reason. I remember the interpretation of the spirit of Bushido: the emperor had nothing to eat when he fled, a samurai offered him food, and when he saw the emperor eating, the samurai went outside and cut his belly, because he knew that he was not qualified to offer food to the emperor. Offended, but had to offer food for the safety of the Emperor, so he cut his belly in honor and gratitude. This performance is extreme, but it is also Japanese, and the Japanese Bushido spirit is very paranoid, but it is also interesting.

The new gangster economics is full of unkind bastards. The old man is really not as ruthless as before, but the story is meaningful. Betrayal can be seen everywhere, and the spirit of Bushido has declined. This return is a bit more insightful and pathetic. .

The Outrage quotes

  • Ikemoto: H-h-hold on a minute...

    [panting]

    Ikemoto: I'll reverse the banishment.

    Ôtomo: Huh?

    Ikemoto: I'll reverse the banishment.

Ôtomo: You banish me, then you reverse it?

    [explodes]

Ôtomo: How many fucking tongues do you have?

    Ikemoto: Huh?

Ôtomo: Are you deaf? How many do you have?

    Ikemoto: I've only got one.

Ôtomo: Only one? *Two* or *three* is more like it, you fucking prick!

Ikemoto: I'm telling you I've only got one tongue!

Ôtomo: [a little calmer] Open your mouth.

    [louder]

    Ôtomo: Stick out your tongue!

    Ikemoto: [beat] Huh?

Ôtomo: [barking] Stick out your tongue!

[Ikemoto reveals reluctantly a bit of his tongue]

    Ôtomo: MORE!

    [Ikemoto does]

Ôtomo: STICK IT OUT, YOU MOTHERFUCKER!

[Ikemoto sticks out his entire tongue, then Otomo slams his jaw so violently that Ikemoto chokes on his own tongue; Otomo eventually kills him]

  • Ôtomo: How the fuck can you come to play here just after you banished me ? I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU !

    Ikemoto: W-wait a second...

    [he pants]

    Ikemoto: OZAWA !

Mizuno: He's gone already, you dipshit.
