a perfect movie

Let me turn to the film review I wrote in 2007:
I watched this film in 2003, and I haven't reviewed it so far. But a lot of things have stayed in my mind and can't go away. I've been wanting to rewatch and write a movie review, but I just can't figure it out. Because to be honest, this movie is a really "perfect" movie in my mind, and I'm afraid that after watching it again, it will destroy that feeling, just like when you see an 18-year-old beauty for the first time. , perhaps reluctant to see her 30 years from
now. So I haven't written a complete review yet.
This movie is arguably the first "real movie" I've ever recognized. He has everything perfect: original novels, adaptations, plot, layout, music, colors, filming, actors, directors, even props and more. Just like the face, raw material, temperament, cultivation, talent, humility, virtue, etc. of a real beauty. The heroine's view of the sea on the beach in this film, just like the heroine's retrospect in "The Age of Innocence", became a touch of eternal beauty in my heart of that era.
People always go from innocence to maturity, that is, from ideal to vulgarity. Sometimes what supports us to continue is the little faith in our hearts, our parents in reality, our hopes for life, and the little beauty in our hearts. Times have changed, maybe this movie left me with this thing, which is different from those people who are completely living in reality and submerged by life.
This film was shot in the middle and late stages of the Western women's liberation, sexual liberation and racial freedom movement. Most of the film is about the Victorian era, but in a two-line narrative, it actually talks about the time. The conflict between the two eras is ultimately reflected in two different endings. Moreover, the dialogues, hearts and details in the film also describe the different ways people treat "self" in two different eras. Romance films can tell about an era, and only "Gone with the Wind" can compare with it. But from the artistic point of view of the film, I think "Gone with the Wind" should be
inferior to "The French Lieutenant's Woman".
The movie review was also good. This movie directly subverted my view of movies. As a result, he avoided cultural garbage such as "Heroes", "Wuji" and "Night Banquet". And have been looking for some similar "boring films". In fact, this film is very rich and not "boring". If you are bored, maybe you have lost a young heart.
After writing so much, I have the right to be a movie reviewer. Maybe it’s time to revisit it, hehe.

The French Lieutenant's Woman quotes

  • Davide: Have they decided how they are going to end the movie?

    Mike: End it?

Davide: I hear they keep changing the script.

Mike: No, not at all. Where did you hear that?

Davide: Well, there are two endings in the book. A happy ending and an unhappy ending, no?

Mike: We're going for the first ending. I mean the second ending.

    Davide: Which one is that?

  • Sonia: Good to meet you.

    Anna: And you.

Sonia: Good luck with the last scene.
