The production process of this film is quite ordinary. It almost perfectly inherits the style of Russian thick lines. The screenwriter is not compact enough, the details are abrupt, the dialogue is not polished, and the performance is very stiff, especially the protagonist is basically a facial paralysis.
The reason why people can keep watching is that this film spared no effort in exposing the dark side of the government, and used the most straightforward lens and language to show the government relationship between Russian officials and businessmen.
The Russian government officials seemed too naive. They were scared out of their wits with a deficit of only 200 million rubles (about 20 million yuan), and they would assassinate if they disagreed. It seemed that there was no strategy at all.
At the end of the film, Dima collapsed in front of a residential building, which is also a meaningful ending. The director not only expressed his disappointment with his own government, but also with the people. In the director's eyes, this society probably has no future.
