When I saw the last gang fight, the last hope for humanity in the film was drowned out, and the irony of the film was maximized. The upright and stupid plumber gave up almost everything (family, property, love, work and even life) in exchange for the lives of irrelevant decadent people, but what they got was the scolding and beatings of the rescued people.
