life is an illusion

I just finished watching "Youth Without Youth", it's a great movie, but maybe it's too stuck on the level of consciousness, and the audience won't be much. It covers a wide range, and it seems a little scattered at first. The allusions of "Zhuang Zhou's Dream of Butterfly" appear either in the open or in the dark, the constant switching between dreams and reality, the mutual dialogue between personalities, the barriers and communication between different cultures, the love-hate entanglement between two people and four souls, the relationship between people and people. Gathering and scattered, the repeated entanglement of gains and losses... In the end, the end to the end, I deeply feel: life is a too gorgeous illusion, we are dreaming a chaotic dream, living in our own consciousness.

Just like Bai Juyi's "Flowers are not flowers, fog is not fog. It comes in the middle of the night, and the dawn goes away. It comes like a spring dream for a short time, and it goes like the clouds have nowhere to look."

And another looming theme also fits with the eternal incompleteness of life, twice A deep love has to end in a breakup. Where is the third rose? It has become an eternal question...

PS: I am very envious of the protagonist's k-book skills. When I take the book, the content will flash as soon as it shines~~ I even admire him for being able to peep into other people's dreams and then interpret them (Freud must have cried) ...

Why are some lenses upside down? Why can't the Chinese spoken by Dominica make sentences? Why did the woman suddenly wake up in India, why is he there, and who are the people accompanying her? Whose photo did he take in the hotel? Why is he suddenly old? Why did he die later? What do the previous two roses and the third rose mean? Why is this movie not in the pretentious bean column?

  • Dominic: [voice over] If someone were to tell me that there exist among us authentic magicians, saints... or anyone endowed with miraculous powers, I would believe them.
