I'd like to compare the film with " love letter", both of them are about pure love but through contrary ways to express.
In "love letter", love is as clean as snow while in "lovers on the bridge", love is as dirty as the broken bridge. However ,merely use the words clean and dirty can hardly to touch the essence of the films, cause all adjectives are only suitable to describe what things look like or appearance.
That's why I think both films are similar in their essence. So ,after we say them, forget about the snow, the broken bridge ,the selfish man or woman, the ugly Paris, all of them appeared on the screen are for the purpose of helping us find a way leading to pure love, then we could abandon ourselves to the world of pure love ,without nothing to worry about or to interrupt us anymore
