The Samaritan Girl
Drift room, empty room, spring, summer, autumn and winter, Samaria. The girls in Kim Ki-duk's movies gave me the falling in love with each other. Kim Ki-duk does not have a strict drama structure, his charm lies in the woman you love and the extremely romantic plot design. When these two points are missing, he finally becomes Park Chan-wook.
Dull, and the metaphors lackluster.
After the person walks out of the screen, two footsteps are added.
It is not correct to start crying bitterly to express the intense emotions of the characters soon after the opening chapter. Because the audience cannot achieve empathy.
Having a likable heroine adds a lot to a movie's appeal. Not here.
Sleeping man, give more money, reverse redemption? Unique angle. Kim Ki-duk has a new perspective on things.
If the father scolds the daughter head on, it becomes a family farce. Clearing everything behind his back, silently teaching his daughter to drive by himself, this is Kim Ki-duk.
Like "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter", it finally gives a whole new perspective from the mountain.
study notes:
Proof that the filth of the body and the holiness of the soul can magically coexist in one person.
The mood and mood have arrived, but the plot and characters of the whole film are all too rigid and extreme. This is the conflict method in Kim Ki-deok's aesthetics, and the audience needs to have a process of dilution and refinement when outputting. Therefore, I personally think that "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Another Spring", which avoids this "defect", is his best work. Both "Bow" and "Samaria Girl" are lacking, and "Sad Dream" is more obvious.
