They went to the other side of the cloud together

That violin is really nice.

However, I always feel that the story is not told too clearly?

Friendship? Pure love? sci-fi?

It seemed that each had a little dip, but none of them seemed to catch me in particular.

But in terms of pictures, music, and the description of various details, it is already a very good-looking film.

How I wish it were a little more beautiful, a little sadder, a little more moving.

But all the small complaints above are probably due to the fact that I have watched this film four times.

Maybe I really missed some key memory, or touching part, in those four ons and offs?

A pure Japanese story about high-end manufacturing, parallel universes, green romance, and the collapse of the world

Science fiction is not my thing, animation is not my thing, and the plot is so weak... I can only breathe the few love elements. I look very tired. There are 2 reasons for choosing this film, the name is nice & is the author of "Second Speed". This tower really looks like a flagpole.../If you accidentally fall into a shallow river, and it's not too dirty, it would be more fun to pull the friends who came to rescue into the water.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days quotes

  • Hiroki Fujisawa: [Narrating] At the time, we were drawn by two things: One was our classmate, Sawatari Sayuri... The other was the giant tower across the Tsugaru Strait. I was always looking up at that tower, I felt that something very precious waited there, I yearned to go there... One day... One day... I will go there.

  • Hiroki Fujisawa: [Narrating] Back then, I felt that this place, this time would last forever. The tower I admired that lay beyond the clouds... became the place of a precious promise. At that moment we weren't afraid of anything. But in reality, the world and the flow of time kept on going all around me.
