moved, despised

The film itself is very good, with clean pictures and sad and peaceful music, which slowly tells the story of a naval soldier's body being escorted home. It truly records the respect for life and the soldiers. It's

just very uncomfortable to watch, It is extremely depressing. I will think of the soldiers of our country, the soldiers who died and the soldiers who fought. For the ideal, they gave their youth and blood and even their lives for others, and those who were admired or sacrificed silently and unknown... May the deceased rest in peace.

Those who are gone, still great lives.

A story that couldn't be simpler, a story that couldn't be more moving.

Taking Chance quotes

  • LtCol Mike Strobl: I stayed home. I was trained to fight. If I'm not over there, what am I? Those guys, guys like Chance... they're Marines.

Charlie Fitts: And you think you're not? Want to be with your family every night - you think you have to justify that? You'd better stop right there, sir. You've brought Chance home. You're his witness now. Without a witness, they just disappear.

LtCol Mike Strobl: Once per quarter we'll give you a run down on battalion and squadron level readiness and today's briefing will focus on First Marine Division.
