This is the second film I've seen by Hirokazu Eda, the first being "Phantom Light". Watching "Fantasy" is like eating a salty plum, you can enjoy it; watching "Haijie Diary" is like eating a piece of chocolate, very sweet and very appetizing. The warm family life it presents, the cultural capital Kamakura where it takes place, and the acting skills of the selected actors are all very good.
