Director, can we hire a screenwriter?

Director Hosoda Mori's past good works are inseparable from the royal screenwriter Sadoko Okuji. Once he takes the lead as a screenwriter, all kinds of shortcomings immediately appear: thin characters, sloppy plots, unclear themes... The story is fragmented, inexplicable, and lacks continuity.

The title of the film is [Future of the Future]. However, the future sauce did not show up for most of the whole drama. The plot of my mother and great-grandfather was very abrupt and seriously digressed.

What does it have to do with a dog becoming a person?

Is everything the imagination of the protagonist or super power?

What is the significance of the future sauce in the future? ?

Unable to justify it before and after, the protagonist howled + pissed from beginning to end, the mantra: I don't like XX the most! After saying this sentence, I immediately entered the delusional space to receive spiritual education, which made me embarrassed and cancer.

The adults are all preaching, educating the protagonist to accept his sister and caring for the family... Anyway, no matter how boring it is, it can't affect me at all. I thought it was a fantasy movie, but after watching it, I found out that it was a promo for the second child.

The movie started at 6:20, and it had been on for an hour and still had not entered the theme. I was so sleepy that I could only play with my mobile phone. The previous work [Son of the Monster] has exposed the weakness of Hosoda Mori who is not good at screenwriting, and the new work has not improved at all.

The Japanese movie レビュー website scored 2.5/5, and some Japanese commented: [What is this? There is no beginning or end of the story. The characters have no personality. The characters are all based on the delusions of a child, and the stories are like fragments. The character doesn't even step out of the house. Waste of money and time. But Tatsuro Yamashita's music is very good. 】I also think that the picture and music are also brilliant...

I met Director Mamoru Hosoda because of Episode 21 of One of the Gods of Digimon and the theatrical version [Our Game of War]. There is no doubt about your talent as a director, but you are really not suitable for writing stories. Please find a screenwriter next time, please. ?

Anyone who studies screenwriting can watch this work and feel what a failed script is. For family-themed animated movies with passing scripts, please refer to the next door [Dream Hunting Travel Notes].

Mirai quotes

  • Father: This is your baby sister, Kun.

    Kun: Sister?

    Mother: Isn't she precious?

Kun: [gasping in amazement] She is.

[pokes his finger against her delicate hand]

Mother: You have to be gentle with her.

Kun: [gently takes hold of the baby's hand; she opens her eyes]

Father: She's awake. I think she's staring at you, Kun.

Mother: Come on, her eyes can't even focus yet.

Father: Well she sure looks like she's staring to me.

Mother: You must always be nice to her, okay?

    Kun: Okay.

Mother: And you have to protect her no matter what.

    Kun: Yeah.

    Mother: Always.

  • Mirai: You did it again. You tried to hit me with your bullet train even after Mom told you not to.

Kun: But it wasn't a bullet train!

Mirai: You aren't supposed to use a bullet train to hit people.

Kun: It was a Super Azusa.

Mirai: [angrily] I don't care what kind it was!

    [scoffs]

Mirai: And why can't you be a little nicer to Mom?

    Kun: I don't know, I just can't.

Mirai: It's her one day off from work. She doesn't get many and she has to spend it fighting with you. Come on, try.

Kun: [sniffling] I know... I'm not cute.

    Mirai: Huh?

Kun: [crying, wipes tear from his eye] Both Baby Mirai and Yukio are really cute. Not me. I know I'm not that cute anymore.

    [continues sobbing]

Mirai: Oh come on, that's not true. You're very cute!

    Kun: [walking away]

    Mirai: You're the cutest! Adorable!

    Kun: [crying harder; runs away]
