In the plot, the hero and heroine Max and Lisa are full of passion and regret. It may be related to the casting. When I first watched it, it was because their misunderstanding was not worth it and Alice made a stumbling block to break it up. Only then did I slowly chew on what Alice said to Max. In fact, they are all the same kind of people. They fell in love with someone madly at first sight, so what's the so-called right or wrong? Do you actually look at yourself when you criticize others?
This is a French movie. The relationship between men and women may not be as specific as the Orientals, and the male protagonist has three functions at the same time. Maybe the female audience of this movie may not like it, but purely watching the plot and overall feeling of the movie, I appreciate it very much!
Later, in 2004, the Canadian remake was adapted into Wicker Park (Love to Seek Fans), and the ending is different from the original, but I prefer the ending of the original with a bit of shock.
French director Gilles Mimouni has only this work for so many years. In 1998, it won the British Best Independent Foreign Language Film and the BAFTA Best Non-English Film Award.
I have seen more than thousands of Chinese, American and European movies since I was a child, but this 1996 work is still my favorite movie number one.
