Jung Hae-won (Ji Sung-won), a single woman who works alone in the financial industry in Seoul, is naturally under enormous pressure from all sides. Her emotions are getting more and more nervous, and she eventually has to be forced to take a vacation. Taking advantage of the vacation, Hae-won returns to her hometown, Mudo, after a long absence. The scenery here is beautiful, the folk customs are rough and even a bit barbaric, and the phenomenon of male superiority and female inferiority is still very serious. Hae-won reunites with her childhood playmate, Kim Bum-nam (played by Seo Young-hee), a gentle, cheerful, hard-working woman, but her husband and family see her as a pig and dog, bullying and humiliating at will. Funan hopes that her daughter Xiaoyan will have a better life, but in this wild place, human dignity is trampled on. Under huge pressure, the submissive Funan turned into a tragic queen of revenge...
This film is the debut feature film of Zhang Zhexiu, the director's assistant of the famous Korean director Kim Ki-duk.
