February 18, 2012, I finally enjoyed "Bomi" Uncle's Past and Present". I am amazed at how the director can handle the heavy topic of life and death with optimism and humour. The deceased wife and the missing son were able to share a meal with the living people such as the protagonist and catch up with each other. In the scene where the "Ghost Monkey" son appeared, my heart trembled, and then when I started to speak at the dining table, the sense of horror was replaced by a sense of humor. I especially wanted to laugh. This scene was also the best shot in the whole film. What makes me admire is the surprise ending, I think it can be compared to Abbas' "The Taste of Cherry"! As Tim Burton commented, the film is a magnificent and eerie dream. Watching a movie is like dreaming. In the movie, I can temporarily forget the real world...
After watching the movie, I remembered that this is a movie from 2010. Unknowingly, 2 years passed away silently, leaving me with many colorful memories. I may not have the ability to remember my past life like Uncle Pommy. I don't care if my past life was a drop of rain, a tree, a free-moving fish or a buffalo that broke free; the only thing I can do is not forget everything I have lived in this life, whether it's hardships, pains or good times Joy, and I will not forget the relatives and friends I have known, their kindness to me, and I will remember them in my heart. I don't know if I have an afterlife, but if I can remember all this before I die, I'll be content.
