This film is really hard to lose the reputation of Pina and the pursuit of so many blind audiences

Daguang's 3D version of "Pina" was accidentally tossed with ticketing, and it was also my closing film at this film festival. The popularity of such a dance documentary goes far beyond its rightful audience. The gimmick is the first 3D documentary, and countless people are fighting for it. This is the way Chinese people are. The popular things must be robbed, no matter what they are robbing and what it means to them. In the end, as expected, the movie left half of the screening.

Pina is a famous German modern dancer, famous for her modern dance. It is said that a documentary about Pina was planned to be made more than 20 years ago, but it was delayed until Pina passed away. I don't think this reflects how much the creators strive for perfection. Instead, it makes people feel that with such a degree of procrastination, their level of attention and work attitude is questionable. Therefore, the images left by Pina are even more limited. The structure of the film is also composed of dances choreographed by Pina performed by other actors and interspersed with the memories of Pina by these dancers.

From my common man's point of view, it may be that figurative expression methods have been exhausted. After entering modern times, various art forms have become abstract and use dissonance as their selling point. Examples include expressionist painting, modern symphonies that despise musical technique, and modern dance. It makes people feel that the artist's life is getting easier and easier. It doesn't need Mozart's genius in using various modes, just repeating the same melody with different instruments; it doesn't need realism or even impressionist painting skills. As long as you doodle freely, you can make a famous painting that expresses strong emotions. Modern dance is relatively good, the dancers have the same figure and charm, and some dances are quite aesthetic, but the dance skills are not outstanding, and it is even more confusing.

The opening dance of this film is called "The Rite of Spring". Maybe you have heard the huge commotion and frenzy caused by Stravinsky's new ballet "The Rite of Spring" 100 years ago, and Pina is based on this paragraph. The ballet that seemed shocking at the time was adapted into a modern dance version of The Rite of Spring. Although I can't understand the meaning of the actors' actions, I can still feel the emotions of the young soul's thirst for the world and the imprisoned collision. I can't understand the later "Mueller's Cafe" at all. It's like a joke when I watch it unhappily. I smash the chair, and one person breaks the other person repeatedly doing the same pose. If there is no guidance, it is basically impossible to watch. out what you want to express.

Interspersed between the dances are the memories of Pina's colleagues or students. The temperament of these dancers is very good, but it seems to me that there is nothing to say.

In any case, the creativity of the choreography, the professionalism of the dance, and the nostalgia and love of the dancers for Pina are not the credit of this film. The only contribution this film makes is to 3D the dance scene, other than that it simply intersperses the dance with the statement, and there is no plot and no structure at all. We only saw the accumulation of the material left by Pina, but did not see the serious documentary creation and arrangement. For this reason, this film is really hard to lose the reputation of Pina and the pursuit of so many blind audiences.
