Myths aren't so bad, at least I think so. Let’s talk about the shortcomings first: 1. The commercial atmosphere is serious. The whole film has many Hong Kong film-style laughing and scolding clips, which are inconsistent with the theme of mythology. Those clips have a sense of separation in the film, which affects my viewing experience. 2. The emotional drama is not enough, but Princess Yu Shu waited for Meng Yi in 2000. The rescue and short-lived life together cannot support the weight of this relationship. You can add some details that reflect the relationship between the two. Advantages: 1. Casting, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Jackie Chan, and Kim Hee Sun fit the characters very well. It would be better if Jackie Chan was younger. Kim Hee-sun is really a plus point for the whole film. It's so beautiful, and it has an oriental charm. Kim Hee-sun seems to be the reincarnation of Princess Yushu. 2 The overall rhythm is alright, quite compact, but there is a degree of relaxation. The mausoleum air dance that pushes the whole film to a climax was handled very well. It took a song to let the audience appreciate their true feelings that transcend time and space.
Overall, I scored 8 points for Shinhwa, and Kim Hee-sun contributed 2 points. I think this film can be a little more artistic in style, with less Hong Kong-style casual jokes, more scenes that reflect the true feelings of the male and female protagonists, more echoes of the past and the present, and more Kim Hee-sun. Why do you need the whole point? What about boring humor? In my opinion, beauty is very suitable for mythology. Besides, this is a love story. More brushstrokes on beauty can leave an impression on the audience.
Last but not least, let's talk about the soundtrack. In addition to the beautiful mythology, some of the other soundtracks are a bit underworld, and sometimes I even feel like I'm watching a horror movie.
