It's been a long time since I watched a literary film, so I chose this one after picking and choosing. Now I'm still used to watching literary films by myself, probably because I wanted to be closed to my feelings and thoughts at that time. At first I was attracted to this movie because I saw Theron and Penelope perform together. I liked both of them, but it was because of my love for two different styles. Theron's smart and cool, Penelope's charming and moving, can be seen in the movie. It's shown again very well, but the male lead seems to be left out in the cold by comparison. The whole movie takes a long time, and you need to read the whole story patiently, but this is also in line with the rules of literary and artistic films. It is impossible to tell a long and complete story like a commercial film. There is an excitement in two or three minutes, but a long narrative lays the groundwork. It may be exchanged for a dialogue that you will never forget in your life, a scene that shakes your mind and intertwines your thoughts.
