This is love in my eyes

For a person who hasn't fully watched Xing Ye's films, he can't be positioned like other people. Yes, I'm just writing a review of this one movie.
I have to admit that he is really old. Whether in reality or in this movie, what I see is a father. Like looking at my father. Although many people think it is very commercial, although there is no nonsense as before, although the plot is not new, but I still like it, because what I see is love and nothing else.
You can say I'm narrow-minded and short-sighted, but everyone's experience is different and their own feelings are different. If you only want to evaluate a movie in terms of the degree of spoofing of special effects technology or the blurring of the plot, then there is no hiding place for human emotions.
Although Xing Ye has always followed the grass-roots line, this time he used warmth instead of nonsense. Why can't we accept the naked truth confession since we can agree with the emotion of self-mockery. Yes, he is not funny, he can only say the words of us who are poor and ambitious. He didn't pretend to be crazy, he just showed the efforts of a helpless father for his son. What happens when you fall from a tall building, or what happens when you pick something up from a rubbish heap, many people will never understand for a lifetime.
There are no nonsensical funny tricks to chase girls, only the overwhelm caused by trying to hide their inferiority complex. Funny is just a method, but the truth is always there.

So no matter what, thank you very much for this movie, even though not many people like it, even though I can express my love after so long, it doesn't matter, because I will continue to love it.

    Dicky: Good morning, sir.

Mr. Cao: Dicky Chow! Just look at yourself. You're covered in dirt.

    Dicky: [stepping forward] I just...

Mr. Cao: [stepping back] Don't move. And don't give me the usual routine. Why are you always so untidy?

Miss Yuen: What's the matter, Mr. Cao?

Mr. Cao: [to Dicky] Explain yourself!

Miss Yuen: Let me talk to him. Where did the dirt come from, Dicky?

Dicky: Well, on my way to school, I slipped and fell over.

Miss Yuen: Don't your mom or dad bring you to school?

Dicky: My mom died a long time ago, and my dad's very busy.

Miss Yuen: What does you dad do?

    Dicky: He's a coolie.

Miss Yuen: I'd like to meet him one day. Would that be possible?

Dicky: I don't think he has the time.

Miss Yuen: When he's available, then. Will you let me know? Go clean up before class starts.

    Dicky: Thanks Miss Yuen.

  • Dicky: It's not easy to win a girl over, but dad won't give up. He's my hero.
