Song of the Westwood

When the fake captain first drove the prisoners in the concentration camp to the big pit, to the death, the prisoners sang a military song that the Wehrmacht often sang, West Woods.

The roar of the once high-spirited overhead Stuka bombers who stepped into Poland, occupied France, and now sings this song to death, at the hands of their countrymen, torn to shreds by the shells of anti-aircraft guns.

Irony. Glory, victory, fame, hope, all vanished in an instant. Sleep with the soil. Sleep with the motherland.

Motherland, what is it?
