Although the film is not long, several lines are complete and interesting.
First of all, Cummings, as an eel, you can't ask him to muddy the water and make sure he can keep everything in order when the dust settles. The biggest winner/smart guy on the show is actually Matt.
Why is Cummings irreplaceable? Because Cummings can really focus when everyone is envisioning how they're going to continue the game after they've won the battle, and are thus tied down in the process. He probably knew he wouldn't have a role after this battle, so he positioned himself very clearly: to make change happen.
That's why Matt keeps refusing to say he can't do it. But he can still find this perfect gunman on top of his self-knowledge, which is very clever.
And then there's the main story line, which is wonderful. It's like Black Mirror.
