A typical British aristocratic literary film.

For 400 years, the blurred but clear boundaries between the two genders were crossed.
The search for freedom, love, companionship, and the journey of self-identification and transcendence.

Typical British literary film. The gorgeous and exquisite scenes and costumes throughout the film are very convincing.
After searching for resources for a long time, I can only find the source of the snowflakes on the screen. It is really helpless scum quality.
The whole film has to be said to be a bit confusing, but some details feel that the conversion is really good. I was particularly impressed by the rain that poured down after Orlando had twice parted with the love in her heart.
Tilda Swinton is worthy of being the queen of the avant-garde. Whether it is a noble male dress at the beginning or a woman later, she can absolutely capture the hearts of people perfectly.
When she fell in love with Sasha in Moscow, she was impeccable in her black hat. From beginning to end, he/she has those pure and clear eyes.

I originally thought it was about gender, but later I found out that it was more about feminism. The lines are succinct and poetic, and the pictures are delicately composed, but the plot is not strong enough, and the fragmented paragraphs are not coherently connected. Tilda, how come the more you look at it, the more self-inflicted it looks.

Dancing tones so well is not so much about men and women as it is about the magic of time.

Orlando quotes

  • Archduke Harry: I'm offering you my hand.

Orlando: Oh! Archduke! That's very kind of you, yes. I cannot accept.

Archduke Harry: But I... I am England. And you are mine.

Orlando: I see. On what grounds?

Archduke Harry: That I adore you.

Orlando: And this means that I belong to you?

  • Orlando: But you are mine!

    Princess Sasha: But why?

    Orlando: Because... I adore you.
