The story starts with a tavern, a person and a piece of music, there is no dialogue, just let you feel the history of this century-old tavern Ambience. Then the characters appear one by one.
There's emotionally chaotic Horace, mentally ill Pete, bohemian Marsha, and many others whose names we don't even know.
For a hundred years, countless people have come and gone in this tavern, and many of them have died here. Contradictions, cruxes, love and hatred, behind every seemingly ordinary person there is a little-known story of joy or sorrow.
In the first episode, an old man who seemed to be in his seventies walked into this lively pub and asked, is this still Horace & Pete's pub?
He said he used to come to this tavern when he was a child, and it was here that he met his wife, and he pointed to the corner and said that she was sitting in that chair at the time. They have been together for many years and he is very happy.
But then his wife slept with his best friend.
Later, he came to this tavern again, in the same chair, and his wife was kissing his friends, and he shot them.
That was in 1961, and today is his first day out of prison.
The current story background is set in 2016, which means that this prison is more than fifty years old.

You can say that the show is violent, but you can’t find a single violent scene. You can also say that this show is pornographic, but you may not find it if you search the whole show. To the more intimate scenes other than kissing, you can't even see gorgeous sets and superb special effects. There are only less than ten scenes changed in the whole play. Sometimes, only two people and one table can last an entire episode. The worst part about telling a lie is when someone that you love just accepts it.
