Elek tempted Tess to have a relationship with him, but in the end, he was irresponsible. Tess raised the child alone, and the child died. It was the bad guy Elek who did bad things and caused the first tragedy. Angel, who loved Tess deeply, learned that Tess was not a virgin, and abandoned her cruelly, and despised her origin. Angel said in the movie: "I can only connect your infidelity to your declining family, and the decline Family means lack of perseverance and depraved behavior. I thought you were an innocent and pure girl, but you are actually a remnant of a decaying and lonely nobleman." Angel hurt Tess's heart severely, which belonged to good people doing bad things. At the end of the movie, Elek was killed, Tess was hanged, and Angel lost his beloved. This is the third tragedy. The tragedy caused by no one doing bad things is destiny. If only Angel could figure it out sooner and come back to Tess...if Tess didn't tell Angel the truth on her wedding night...if Tess just accepted Elek when she knew she was pregnant...if Tess didn't eat strawberries. ..if the Tess family didn't know they were a declining noble...
