Stranger Things, the road to childhood dreams, don't go astray

Received two seasons of Blu-ray at a time. After watching it in two days, I loved the first season, and the second season was a bit disappointing. The first season was a little bit of a surprise in the live-action version of Hayao Miyazaki's animation, but the second season was the same as the X-Men prequel.

The world of adults, the world of youth, the world of teenagers, and the inverse world, the lines are still unfolding one after another, intertwined, and finally merged. This story mode is similar to the first season, but the overall feeling is not as fresh and natural as the first season. It's not that the performance of the young actors is out of shape, but the adult screenwriters are not so careful and delicate. I don't know if the creative cycle is too short or too much. Emphasizing the ability of experimental objects, filling in Hollywood-style super power routines, and over-described alien plant monsters, etc., all of a sudden weakened the clean and clear emotional bond between several children.

In the 1980s, in that era of simplicity and innocence, the mysterious and fantastic adventures of a few innocent children, the children's perspective on the world, life, and friendship, this is the main line that attracts me the most. If telling stories with the innocence that has disappeared in this era is the reason for the great success of the first season, then vulgarization, adultization, and heroic masking are the worst paths this drama should take.

EL seems to be starting the superhero road. This trend is not very good. Overly powerful abilities that are beyond the understanding of children or even adults should not be something that this character needs to bear. It is easy for adult audiences to make logical judgments and play the show, and it is easy for people to contact Marvel and DC involuntarily. At this point, the first season clearly grasps the proportions better.

EL's growth, her experience of responsibility and human emotions, and adventures do not need to be expressed in series with the main line of the discovery process of a destructive and cruel ability. Her interaction with Mike's team, those warm little secrets, are the most moving. I think this drama should not focus on shaping her tragedy. The foundation of that team's existence is nothing else but innocence.

Really want to remind the director and writer, don't forget, this is Stranger Things, and Hollywood never lacks superhero stories.

Several characters of Will Dustin are as good as ever, and Nancy Steve is no problem, but although the new brothers and sisters have a lot of dramas, they obviously feel out of place, and the connection with the main line is far-fetched. Xiao Hei and Xiao Pang fell in love with Max at first sight and wanted him to join the team. Max's position was blunt and embarrassing. In the interaction between Mike's mother, is this going to play American Pie? It's weird, but it's kind of exciting... eh? !

Among the several adult characters, the sheriff is even fatter. His hidden life and emotional interaction with EL are not very good. He is rigid and rigid, and he does not play the feeling of a sad father who has lost his daughter and needs to fill the void in his heart. He is too tough and delicate. Insufficient, his literary drama is not as powerful as Will's mother's performance. The Hobbit played well, above the standard, but this bento received... is the price too high?

The expectations for the third season are not so strong, maybe it is the fatigue of continuous viewing.

Hopefully Stranger Things is still Stranger Things.
