You can always see some shadow of yourself

I think the movie is perfect!

Although this movie is about homosexuality, I think everyone can find their own shadow in everyone in the play.

Bobby is conflicted about being the real himself and choosing his family. He is not accepted or even hated by the people he loves, but they are so close.

The mother insisted on her own point of view, which was the belief that she survived. Her belief allowed her to live in the circle she wanted, so that she never thought that she was wrong. When one day she meets other parents of same-sex children, she will immediately understand how wrong she is, and as the movie says, question it and you will get a deeper truth.

My brother may feel that Bob's death has something to do with him all his life, and the problem he thinks needs to be solved by the family together, but everyone together unintentionally killed Bobby. When solving one more thing, he will probably question his correctness for the rest of his life.

My sister and the others are just sad, there is no guilt, no self-blame, just an empty heart of sadness. Maybe they are the best people in the whole show.

Mom chose Bobby to speak for Bobby all her life after her death. This is also the motivation for her to live. After all, what she once believed in was broken, and it was also her redemption.

I cried down four napkins and blew my nose.

"When you pray in front of church remember that there is a child listening." Kindness and love are all God's will. The interpretation of the mother's role from domineering and stubborn to painful understanding is extremely touching and sad.

Prayers for Bobby quotes

  • Psychiatrist: A lot of times, confusions like Bobby's can be caused by a distant father or an overbearing mother.

Robert Griffith: Well, I had both and I am fine.

  • Rev. Michaels: When temptation is all around you, Faith, is not enough. It requires discipline, not just mental, but physical. Who would like to share their story?

Teri: [she stands up] I used to be so unhappy, I stayed out all night, I talked back to my mother, since coming here and accepting Jesus as my savior. I've changed. My mom and I are like best friends now.

    Rev. Michaels: That's great, Teri.
